I read somewhere that its good practice charging it early rather than letting it drain to the minimum. Reason being, by doing so, the phone is not subjected to high heat during fast charging. For me if the phone can last for the full day when I am on data, I'm a happy chappy

IMO, 128 is more than enough. If there is a 64gb version, I would get that....

I have been using the ipad charger for my ip4, ip5S, ipSE, ip6, ip6+ and ip7 to no ill effect. It does get warmer than the stock charger but for much less time. I have yet to have any of these phones battery failed yet. But must partner with capable chargiing cable. I only use Anker armoured lightning cables.

FYI the phone gets warmer if playing intense graphics games such as war tortoise etc.

If the phone I bought was advertised as new, I would want my money back from the vendor. Since the vendor is a well known vendor, I am sure your issue can be resolved.

Apple do provide warranty for their cables however for defects from factory. Defects due to wear and tear I don't thick possible. I remember during my time using iphone 4, i tried warranty replacement, however due to some damage to the outer sheath of the cable, my claims were denied. Anyway those apple supplied one does not last and do a fairy crappy job, so best rely on other cables. Pay a bit more but you do get the performance and reliability.

I did look for these exact cables but couldnt find here. So I opted with the nylon braided version. Been using it for a year and it has been reliable. Its capable of supplying 2A too. Partner it with the 12Watt ipad charger, my ip7 charge time lessen considerably. For RM70@0.9meter length, its a good buy. Another brand that you could also look at would be the Aukey lightning power cables. They also come in nylon braided armor. Comparable performance but Anker is better. Those are around RM55. Google and the local distributor is listed.

Definitely the kevlar ones offer ultimate robustness compared to the nylon versions. But those do have the price factor. Been using the nylon braided ones and honestly, they do well for my usage.

Those kevlar versions during my time were much dearer. If given the choice, I'd go for the kevlar versions. But before committing, check its model type with the MFI listing. It should be listed as those nylon braided ones I'm using are certified by apple safe to be used.

Yes, iphone to iphone full transfer would be to do a full backup with password in iTunes. The when you put in the new iPhone, choose to do a full restore which will then be prompted with backup password. Then follow through.

I still remember when I was at Maxis@Paradigm Mall, getting my ip7, there was this other dude that had a lemon but Maxis replaced it there and then with another unit. This should be the way as there was definitely a defect from the factory unit.

If you are away from iTunes then 32Gb may be a bit troublesome but manageable IMHO. Just needs to upload photos/videos more frequent than if you have a 128Gb or 256Gb versions. Good catch at those prices, congrats
