On hind sight, the decision to switch my equity funds to bond fund in end Feb was the right decision. Only left bare minimum units in equity funds now with DCA in place.
Was doubtful whether I did the right thing then... Guess it's just pure confidence |

I'm contemplating of investing in Manulife Asia Pacific REIT unit trust vs SGX REIT direct investment. Which path would you choose assuming you have the bullets to invest and why?
Appreciate your feedbacks. Thanks. |

For those who buys unit trusts from FSM, do you put the interests from unit trust into Seksyen 110 of the income tax filing? Or is it not necessary to do so?

Thanks for the feedback. LHDN also told me no need to declare the interest in Seksyen 110 as the income has been taxed under single tier.
QUOTE(David83 @ Apr 22 2019, 12:47 PM) Under single tiered system, dividend and distribution have been taxed at maximum rate. No action required. URL: http://www.hasil.gov.my/bt_goindex.php?bt_...5000&bt_sequ=15 |

Thanks for the feedback. Based on my knowledge, during recovery, blue chips will be first to move only then small cap.
Can EPF used to invest in regional/global funds? QUOTE(yklooi @ Mar 19 2020, 11:15 PM) |

Which US and China fund do you buy?
QUOTE(xuzen @ Jul 4 2020, 02:08 PM) Defensive is the new offensive. With Trump the madman at helm.... it is good to be defensive. Don't know when he will naik angin again one. Bond 70% + US 15% + China 10%+ Reits 5% with a view to sell off more Reits in future. I am positive on China , neutral on US and bearish on REITs. Bond is to provide me with a huge security cushion. Kiasi nowadays. Just hope Trump loses reelection. M'sia equities = nil at the moment. |

I'm looking at adding a global equity fund and am looking at United Global Quality Equity Fund and Affin Hwang World Series - Global Equity Fund - MYR. Sharpe ratio quite similar between 2 funds but if i look at month by month or year by year performance returns, Affin seems to be slightly better.
Anyone has experience with these 2 funds? I saw most comments are on United Quality fund but i wonder why most choose United over Affin. This post has been edited by jutamind: Jul 6 2020, 10:32 AM |

Actually don't understand why fund houses don't want to package popular ETFs like SPY, VOO into unit trust fund with perhaps slightly higher cost compared to direct ETF purchase as these ETFs are still not widely available to most public users? I guess there's a market for this in under developed financial markets like Malaysia
I for one would go for this if your purchase amount is not large enough month for DCA |

Is there anyway to enable edit for the date and fund price cell in the each fund summary row so that I can manually update the cell values?
