Govt retained...no policies changes, same old guards on duties......isn't that good for investors?
*
I think better future for investors if opposition takes over....

a new government always perform better... look at penang and selangor....

results wont be instant, takes time but in long run way greener

much as I hate the current Goverment, I do not wish for it to lose its power over the country as every shock jitters the stock counters. so yeah my take BN will still be in power. Najib on the other hand won't last another election.
*
i agree with u, it takes a dip because of aftershock...

but try to think of long term....

Najib leaving soon.... thts the reason his cousin is appointed as special function minister....

look back at history, former Sarawak CM Adenan Satem was appointed as special function minister before sarawak election.... after election he became CM

special function minister post is used to bypass a person infront of u to hold higher post...

just wait n see bro

Sometime fund size also need to be factored in when considering a fund, especially funds involving Asia Pacific regions...

Any disagreement to this fact?

This is something that is far more important than people give it credit for. You see there is a trade-off between size and fees.

In most cases, large funds are good for the following reasons:

They trade in larger amounts so they get better discounts
They cost less to manage because more people carry the cost
They tend to be more conservative with a longer-term outlook than smaller funds

Smaller funds can also be too small.

First of all, smaller funds can exhibit excellent short-term performance, which can be misleading because a few successful stocks in the portfolio could have a large impact on the fund's performance. Because these funds do not have as long of a track record, some investors could be enticed to purchase a fund managed by an inexperienced manager.

Secondly, because funds are less diversified, the poor performance of one stock will have a large negative impact on the overall portfolio.

Lastly, operating expenses tend to be higher for smaller funds because of the lower opportunity to take advantage of economies of scale.

New investors. take my portfolio as an example. My main focus is to build my portfolio from my main income and using that percentage of my wage by purchasing funds via DCA method.

Total profit now is 6.22% and i hardly check on my funds.

1)Stop looking into your ports.

2)Start working hard into funneling whatever savings you can spare into your port.

3)Set a goal of how you want to build your port then Keep focusing on building up your respective  allocations giving time for them to grow. (think of it as the art of bonsai)

4) Leave the work to fund managers.

here's my personal experience.

Fundsupermart is new in Malaysia but it ain't new in Hong Kong, Singapore and India. It is turning into a household brand with their new joint venture in Insurance and bonds.

I personally have all my savings in fsm and even have a big sum of medical coverage under them. so if you are still afraid you can always head to public mutual and banks. very old school and safe investment.

You took a standalone or investment linked policy? and under which company? HLA or MCIS?

When comes to reit, only AmAsia and Manulife are considered..

Wonder why Affin Reit is not taken into considerations??

Why huh?

Maybe reit sifus can shed light on this
