Guys, I'm about to get fed up with FSM.
Are all of you experiencing the same - all distributions are not accounted since end of July?
And live support is a joke, they just cut n paste scripted answers that have no use.
An example of my today's chat:
--------------------------
Thank you for choosing to chat with us. An agent will be with you shortly.
Info at 12:54, Sep 19:
You are now chatting with Hui Ching.
Vlad at 12:54, Sep 19:
hi

Hui Ching at 12:54, Sep 19:
Hi. Good afternoon. How can I help you with?
Vlad at 12:54, Sep 19:
need update on distribution for RHB Asian Income
Vlad at 12:54, Sep 19:
it's not accounted for 60 days already
Vlad at 12:57, Sep 19:
and RHB Emerging Markets Bonds - same for "just" 4 weeks

Hui Ching at 12:58, Sep 19:
Yes, we have been follow up with the fund house closely for the units allocation.
Vlad at 12:58, Sep 19:
that's not an answer

Hui Ching at 12:59, Sep 19:
Once received, we will credit into your holdings immediately.
Vlad at 12:59, Sep 19:
no
Vlad at 12:59, Sep 19:
you pasting me this answer 4th time already. since month+ ago
Vlad at 12:59, Sep 19:
NOTHING done
Vlad at 13:00, Sep 19:
you can't act like that working in finances
Vlad at 13:00, Sep 19:
When will it get resolved?
Vlad at 13:00, Sep 19:
Who's responsible?

Hui Ching at 13:01, Sep 19:
We understand for your situation. However, we have tried to follow up with the fund house and they will try to issue the unit allocation to us within this week.
Vlad at 13:01, Sep 19:
i'm not satisfied with "they will try"
Vlad at 13:01, Sep 19:
2 months!
Vlad at 13:01, Sep 19:
TWO BLOODY MONTHS!
Vlad at 13:01, Sep 19:
that had to be done 60 days ago
Vlad at 13:01, Sep 19:
who is responsible?
Vlad at 13:03, Sep 19:
who is responsible? you or RHB?
Vlad at 13:03, Sep 19:
whom should i report to BNM and RMP?

Hui Ching at 13:04, Sep 19:
We have yet to receive the correct unit allocation from the fund house.
Vlad at 13:04, Sep 19:
stop doing that monkey business
Vlad at 13:04, Sep 19:
i need straight answer
Vlad at 13:04, Sep 19:
WHO IS TAKING RESPONSIBILITY?
Vlad at 13:05, Sep 19:
iFAST or RHB?
Vlad at 13:05, Sep 19:
time of joking has passed already
Vlad at 13:05, Sep 19:
if you can't do your job - give up your license and get hell out of the business
Vlad at 13:06, Sep 19:
*STILL WAITING FOR AN ANSWER*
Vlad at 13:07, Sep 19:
WHO IS TAKING RESPONSIBILITY? Vlad at 13:05, Sep 19: iFAST or RHB?

Hui Ching at 13:11, Sep 19:
We have discussed with the fund house this morning and they will triy to issue the correct units allocation report to us within this week.
Vlad at 13:12, Sep 19:
not an answer
Vlad at 13:12, Sep 19:
are you saying RHB is at fault?

sweat.gif  take a chill pill bro!
It's not her fault  doh.gif
whistling.gif  if you want to complain, call the fund house directly, FSM just the middle man.
*
lol, i have business with FSM, not with fund house. I transact and pay fees to FSM. So I expect some straight answers at least. But they can't give it, neither they can say when it will be resolved.

imagine you come to your bank cause found out you can't use your ATM card and have no cash.
they will answer you "Oh, due to some error you can't access your money"
but MAYBE we will resolve it this week

Now consider you had EXACTLY same chat with bank rep month ago. Will you ever trust them again.

===
I simply don't care about their technical issues, i just need to get what i am paying for smile.gif that simple

laugh.gif I think the problem is not on FSM's side.
Funds do take time to distribute their funds. Maybe it's a black swan case where it took more time then average.

dry.gif anyways, it's not appropriate to be all out rude to a human being like that.
*
Well, once again, i have a full right to ask questions to FSM since i have contract with them and i pay them.
60 days without accounting that's definitely something VERY WRONG there.
As for rude - well, no insults there. Just too irritated to listen same broken record every week while seeing no progress at all.
When somebody repeats same obvious BS to you for 4th time, can't keep myself absolutely calm vmad.gif

what's your problem? if you have read the first page you would know that DISTRIBUTION HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR PORTFOLIO which means you are rude to a staff who has zero control over this for nothing. let's just say that you have received your distribution after scolding the staff and then what? you so dai sai got more money in the portfolio? you need it so badly when it does nothing for you?

learn a thing or two about being nice to people instead of being a douche bag
Not me, but FSM has a problem. Don't teach me investing, please and don't send me to read first page or whatever.
And the as the consequence of that problem - I can't make a proper accounting/balance for my own assets/etc for 2 months.

As for "douche bag" -> i'd recommend you to watch your own language, as i hadn't insult anyone, just like you did

it is appropriate to you when you are talking like a complete baffoon to someone who is working just you and me and everyone else and mind you distribution comes from fund houses not fsm. you wanna pick a fight over this go sound thr fund houses and fund manager. not a fsm staff who's there to help clients like us.

also you say that you need to do proper accounting and it cannot be done when distribution isnt available. lemme get it copy and paste for you since you are lazy to educate yourself.
I doubt you understand the point smile.gif Either you are impatient to read whole post either simply ignorant.
1st. It's not my job to contact fund houses or their managers. That's the job I'm paying FSM for. They have to track it and reach out to fund houses insuring that distribution is accounted properly and in time.
2nd. Problem was reported to FSM quite a time ago. They promised to handle it and follow up. Which hadn't happened. Means they've lied. If that's what you call "who's there to help clients like us.", then I'm just sorry for you.
3rd. The snippet you've pasted is irrelevant. Already told you, I don't need "education" on investing from people who can't handle simple math. Balance sheet bases on current NAV while distribution is missing for two months, means IRR/ROI will be miscalculated.
--
And once again, watch your language, especially when talking to someone you don't know at all. That's what your parents should teach you when you was a kid.

It does affect the said fund value if the distribution units are not in.

Precisely... But local "master of investment science" somehow isn't able to understand that.

how so? distribution not in and distribution in doesn't do much to the NAV. maybe I'm over looking things but maybe you can explain it to me because what effects the find value is the underlying assets, investment and currency.
*
Follow this slowly:

Jan 1st. You have 100 units of Fund A with NAV=1.0. Your portfolio value of this fund = 100
Mar 1st. Fund A announces distribution ~10%. Let's imagine NAV remained the same till distribution. After distribution NAV=.9
-- distribution still not accounted to your investment account ---
May 1st. Fund A has NAV still being equal to .9. You are arranging balance sheet of your own assets. Account still shows 100 units of Fund A.
Question: What's your accounting value for that fund allocation?

There's a reason why I didn't tag any post.

How you act/ react is a reflection of your own behavior and upbringing. I'm just bringing an objective view to the table instead of blindly pro-FSM and anti-Pub Mut and Amanah Saham.

The complaint of being slow in distribution is not the first time on this thread. Maybe it's time for FSM to look into their existing processes to try to improve that.

Dealing with difficult customer is part and parcel of customer service, especially when you have retail customers. I've seen tremendous improvement in customer service for some of the big brands in Msia or even the gov agency. So it can be done, if the management is determined to. So, gotta put some pressure for the management to want to do it la.

p/s: My RHB Asian income and emerging market bond distribution already in for weeks although the little D icons are still there. Did you check your value and transaction history or not? Hopefully the customer service girl is not so blur to kena marah for nothing la
*
Anchored to the spot. Exactly what I meant.
--
as for trx list: already checked that. I have few other Funds showing D icon and distribution accounted /reflected in the list. But RHB Asian Income and EMBF are still not there

hmm.gif still want to bet????

may I suggest to SELL everything now, goto TESCO buy canned food, drinking water, batteries, some medications.....
WHY?
just do as the Russians had just been urged to do....

"Russian state-owned television is urging the country’s residents to stock their bunkers with water and basic foodstuffs because Moscow could go to war with Washington.
Warning that the potential conflict between the two superpowers would be “catastrophic,” an anchor for Russia’s Vesti 24 showed off shelves of food, recommending that people buy salt, oatmeal and other products that can last a long time on the shelves. Powdered milk lasts five years while sugar and rice can last up to eight years, the newscaster explained before showing videos of pasta cooking in a bomb shelter. "

D'oh... if US goes into real war vs RUS it's going to be too tough for the whole world. I hope both sides will stay cool. But anyway, now it doesn't feel as bad as during Caribbean crisis
