Hi sifus,

Need your pro comments on the following portfolio which I invested myself based on some research and reading of this forum.

1) Kenanga Growth Fund (53%)
2) CIMB-Principal Asia Pacific Dynamic Income Fund (18%)
3) CIMB-Principal Global Titans Fund (18%)
4) Eastspring Investments Global Emerging Markets Fund  (7%)
5) Eastspring Investments Global Leaders MY Fund (5%)

I have still some stash i have parked in RHB Cash Management Fund 2.
Is it safer for me to park it there or is better I take and invest in equity funds (diversifying my port)?

Doesnt matter, you can keep in CMF2 or fresh FPX in, still get 0.5% as long as the investment amount is >= 250k  laugh.gif
So if he transfer out but later invest back in Managed portfolio for 250k, will still get 0.5% discount
*
So fresh investment is counted into the tier discount right away ?

Somehow my memory seems to tell me something else. I could be wrong.

Can't find an index or an indicator to allow me to make some guesses of the fund's performance.

At least for other funds, there are indices which I can use before 3pm. rclxs0.gif

After my top up, should be about 40% in China + Asia Pac (excluding Malaysia)
Actually i was undecided (a few months back) between India and China, but upon further reading and my guts in the geopolitical landscape, I believe China have more potential (not looking at numbers/GDP/Financial Metric).

AmSchroder European Equity Alpha _ anyone looking at this UT can share your views?
I just bought some at 0% fee.
*
Europe fund is the only fund I don't have. My speculation is it is okay to give it small allocation for diversification purposes but I am not optimistic that it can give good return. Not near future.

Hopefully in future FSM can allow us to buy their managed portfolio using EPF. That can be a good move.
*
Can dream about it but I think it will unlikely to happen.

1) Managed portfolio is a FSM product, when purchased under EPF, should it be nominee account name or holder name ?

2) Assuming FSM forgo the initial sales charge, managed portfolio there is still a platform charge. How to effect that into EPF ?

3) Managed portfolio is a basket of funds, inside which some of the funds might not be approved by EPF. If EPF approves that, it means EPF is giving an empty cheque that any funds can be approved by EPF.

If what you say is correct then it is a futile exercise to diversify into funds in different regions/countries.

Actually no. There is a difference between Crash vs Turbulence  laugh.gif

Diversification is good to reduce market turbulences, but not crash  nod.gif

I doubt your words are industry recognized terms and definition.

In reality, it's going to be difficult to tell when the market is going to crash and when it is going through turbulence.

Sure it can be a problem for some.

But crouching tiger and hidden dragon, I am sure quite a few here will not have problem with it.
