QUOTE(xuzen @ Mar 31 2018, 11:34 AM) Discount discount discount! Sale! Sale! sale! Tambah'ed another one-k into Dinasti. Xuzen p/s This month already two-k into Dinasti. East maggi mee also don't care, discount mah! Must BUY! Are you really that confident about the rest of the year? You don't think the trade war will get worse? My portfolio is down by 30k this month. Would have been worse if I hadn't sold down earlier.

QUOTE(Ancient-XinG- @ Apr 1 2018, 10:55 AM) but but but..... they said UT is long term..... UT should not cut loss, aiks its profit taking aiks why so grey area.... and UT you must have faith in your fund, down? nvm, pump in! no need mon, down? just in! People do advise you to rebalance after all. I don't think anyone advises you to buy a fund and hold it forever and do nothing at all. Last year was a pretty fantastic year for me. Since I suspected that this is going to be a very volatile year, it made sense for me to sell down to preserve my gains from last year. Of course I still lost money because I don't believe in selling out completely as no one can completely predict market, just shift more equities to fixed income funds and cash funds. I don't think it's wrong of me to do so, but I'm willing to listen to other opinions.

QUOTE(bluebay @ May 7 2018, 12:57 PM) received this sms just now from FSM: Eco World International Bhd's 6.65% MYR Bond is now available on Bond Express @ Fundsupermart.com at minimum nominal value of RM10,000. Visit https://bit.ly/2remrWQ or call us at 03-21490652 or 03-21490539 for more information. anyone got it & bought? Curious about this as well. But is the minimum buy really RM10,000 or RM250,000? Huge difference!

QUOTE(ehwee @ May 7 2018, 03:14 PM) Anyone does invest in FSM bond before, can share your views on the rewards and risks buying bond directly in fsm? I think what is important is whether or not anyone has experienced any payment defaults / delays before with directly owned bonds as that is always possible if the issuing company gets into financial difficulties.

QUOTE(funnyface @ May 21 2018, 11:12 AM) CIMB-KLCI-linkedAs usual, buy at your own risk But annual management fees of about 1% means that it's not really an index tracker. Even a quick look at its facesheet reveals that it doesn't track the KLCI very well. Instead it's just like every other fund that tries to outperform the KLCI and charges the appropriate management fee for this "alpha".

QUOTE(monkeyrangers @ Jul 7 2018, 09:34 AM) omg market still showing any signs of recovery after 7 months! I think you mean no signs of recovery? Actually I think January was a pretty good month. Only started to really drop for me in February. I think it's going to be a while yet as the trade war fears will get worse before it gets better.

QUOTE(Ancient-XinG- @ Aug 14 2018, 05:58 PM) Today article = Uptrend for managed port on July. Login. Yesterday maaged port, -1% Today managed port, -3% Look into further - All the newly entered EU US fund diarrhoea. Congratulation FSM research team. Kudos! Lots of love. <3 ** oh yea, maybe some will say give them time, will bounce back. Let us see in how many months they will switch out again. Last record 1 fund only hold 4 months. Before the fund eventually bounce back. Thanks for this update. I have been considering this due to the hassle of manually having to rebalance, but it looks like I'm better off on my own.

Does anyone have any information on whether FSM has any provisions for nominating a beneficiary or something in the event of the fundholder's death like with EPF?

Yeah, my China funds are really bleeding. FSM has after all been heavily promoting China funds over the past couple of years. Oops.

QUOTE(xuzen @ Sep 27 2018, 04:11 PM) Here goes: If you have seen my latest Algozen ver four reading, you'll notice I have gone defensive, with 20% US, 25% M'sia Large Cap, 25% REITs and 30% MYR denominated Corp Bonds. Basically mostly Malaysia plus a little bit of US, that's all? That's unusual. This post has been edited by wankongyew: Sep 28 2018, 09:36 AM

I hate this waiting period. Not a real crash but not a good market either. Holding so much cash at the moment. Don't know what to do with it.

QUOTE(David83 @ Jan 11 2019, 10:44 AM) If your funds are under the water, nothing to cash out for. Not really under water though, and if you expect worse to come, this might be a good opportunity to get out. Just wondering what most people here think. Is this just a temporary reprieve before things get worse or a resumption of the bull market?

Rebound because expected interest rate drop. I hate this kind of thing. I'm going to sell some if the rebound is significant enough. Very nervous market.

Would like to hear opinions on adding more investment into FSM as opposed to a lower cost platform like StashAway. (Note: I don't actually have any money in StashAway at the moment but I'm considering it.)
