This FSM has really bad service. Can't get them on the phone, online chat is always busy. Email reply is slow. Guess is cheap too many customer then can't cope. Stashaway is much better imho.

its really incomparable for me as for SAMY you totally do not have power to manage it instead of believe it

try this?

Semiconductors: Bright Outlook ....2nd December 2020

The semiconductor industry is climbing out of a cyclical downturn that started in late 2018. World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS) on 1st December 2020 (US time) forecasts semiconductor sales accelerating to 8.4% growth,
reaching $469 billion in 2021 (https://www.wsts.org/esraCMS/extension/media/f/WST/4820/WSTS_nr-2020_11.pdf).
All product categories are expected to show positive growth rates. Similarly, all regions are expected to grow in 2021

in that same article ...it has named some UT funds...

Eastspring Investment Dinasti Equity Fund, it holds substantial holding in Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (Tai Ji Dian), it is now producing chips for EV vehicles and 5G sectors as well.

Taiwanese love this stock and it is giving consistent dividend as well. One of the blue chip stocks in Taiwan.

I have just recently added this fund into my portfolio as well.
*
yea i saw that on taiwan news lol, everyone just like all-in into TSM. The target price set by local is around 900-1k taiwan dollar. I cant imagine if TSM failed to cope with this high expectation and the effect to all the taiwanese.
Btw thanks ya for the suggestion!

Hi sorry late question, any sifu care to enlighten what happened to Dana Safi in April 2020? That's very sharp performance turn. grin.gif
*
Dana Safi is purely focus on BURSA, and ever since Apr20, there were alot new investor joined the war during MCO period lol.
And thanks to that, we can see the volume in Bursa is standing at its highest of all time in year 2020, and thats why Dana Safi gains from it.

RHB Shariah China Focus Fund - MYR has changed their designated fund manager to Saw Soon Chin.

Although I know many people here not really a fan of RHB fund, but anyone have any comment/gossip ah, recently the market is way too boring.

hi all, newbie question here, I know that there will be a drop of NAV if the unit trust declared an income distribution, but where will be the income distribute to ya? Because its been 2 weeks since they declared the income distribution, yet the quantity I am holding is still the same, normally how long would the process take after the ex-date?

Hi guys, its been a while since my last visit here.

Just to update before I ask a question,
DCA continuously for the past few months, focusing on China & Asia ex Japan (when there was a huge dip back in March & April).

Portfolio overall is improving, slowly recovering from the pain when the world market collapse few months back, at least its green now.

And just one question, any fund is actually focusing on those small cap like China A50 or small cap in US? I do have my portfolio in those big company but would like seek some opportunities in those small company that potentially getting some advantage when the world slowly back to normal.

Thanks in advance.

like you, i too have very little trust in investing via foreign brokers (IBKR, FSM Singapore, Tiger Brokers, etc). so i am just waiting on FSM Malaysia to enable purchase of stocks/etf in NYSE. they said the feature will be enabled some time this year. if the fees are reasonable, then i intend to transfer all my funds in United Global Quality Equity Fund (UGQEF) to VOO (or whatever S&P500 index etf provided).

P/S: My UGQEF is underperforming the S&P500 Index sad.gif

you don't have Stashaway? Its is in general able to match SP500 for the 36% Risk Index portfolio.
*
Hi bro, generally yes but I checked my portfolio i do not have that bruce.gif
In YTD performance, most of the ETF bought by stashaway are in +%, the only -% in my portfolio is China-Tech (downtrend since Feb'21 if im not mistaken) and also gold ETF.

Encikbuta, not a buy sell call, but you may have a look on stashaway, like Lee shared with me back in Jan'21, hope you can get your right direction before FSM Malaysia launch foreign ETF.

Hi all, I have sold most of my heavy china related fund into cash account first, to secure the profit and waiting for a better chance to reenter at this moment instead of DCA as I believe this major crash will still happening for a period.

Just wondering, i think we all agreed that this china crash will affect most of the market, asia and US. Would like to hear from you all on your perspective into this.

what china heavy related funds did you sold?
just sold today?

china tech dropped this few days....but US mkt still looks stable this few days

I have sold it yesterday, and if I understand how FSM works, it should lock the price as at yesterday right? correct me if im wrong.

Principal Greater China & Eastspring Dinasti Fund, total 20% of my current portfolio.

Yes i agree that US market is still consider as stable due to most of the QR released in the quarter are exceed the expectation, hence people are still confident with it. But I have check the future market, most of the US index are dropping, not too sure if it is due to the major crash in HK & China.

To make myself clearer, of course i would not be able to time the market, but would like to understand more on others' perspective.

Which are the "China" heavy funds you all bought? or hold?

I think most of the people are holding dinasti or greater china, but today both hk and china index looks more stable, not spike but at least no more dip.

Maybe wrong wording. I’ve US fund (aberdeen) and dana dinamik only for now. If going to buy China, i’m thinking of 15% of my total capital.
*
IMO, split the 15% into 3, invest the first 5% and monitor it, if the market going down and you are still confident with it, average down.
