pushing the thread, hows everyone in FSM doing nowadays?
*
Only use fsm to keep my son's sspn fund in their fixed income fund. UT is so yesterday already and other brokers are cheaper for foreign stocks and etf.

Sorry did not answer your question.

Just want to share some good memories...
I recalled many many years ago, forummers Idyllrain and polarzbearz created and shared excelspread sheets that can pull data from FSM MY.
It can compute individually selected ut to show its IRR, the portfolio performance and its IRR too.
In colorful charts and displayed the latest data automatically once user inputted his desired ut into the spreadsheet.
They even shared improvement patches for some time.
Frequent users would use it to share and compare their portfolio monthly here.

and honsiong did shared how to get PRS data from Bloomberg for use in excel.

It had been years, since those selfishless sifus last came here ..

Those were some of the good times in this thread and good times in UT investment before the coming of ETFs

updated:

seems like this year promotion is really longer than few years back

Ever since people are more aware of investment brokers like ikbr and moo moo, they have shifted from UT to stocks to ETFs.

No brained FSM is now facing competition

nevertheless, it is good for investors,
very little US UT that beat US ETF,
should invest in UT on malaysia or emerging market for equity
and in ETF for US equity

I only use fixed income for fsm and switch the fund out for sspn and prs to maximize returns via tax relief.

(Transfer from Kopitiam topic)

@Avangelice

Can teach the steps? How to buy S&P500 on FSM with no fees?
*
Sorry bro. Not on fsm but ikbr but you don't directly buy s&p 500 etf as US tax on div is 30%

So instead you buy an etf tracker for the s&p500 on the London stock exchange that has 15% tax on div

Cspx and Vuaa is two of such etfs. Let's not continue on this thread cuz it's fsm not ikbr

Reason u not buying Cspx and Vuaa on fsm is because of the 0.08% fee?
*
And on both buy & sell mind you.

Ikbr is 0.03%

Plus I'm pretty sure their exchange rate sucks
