I do hope that Ryzen in MY are not getting jack up prices during launching periods.

Everytimes when there is a hyped product appeared, that product price is going to jack up... e.g PS4 pro, Nintendo Switch, newer Iphone (non MY official), & etc.

Despite the hype though... AMD Ryzen forgot to compete in the G series Pentium category. Probably might lose a lot of sales if I see it that way. Everyone who wants Ryzen would rather go G series Intel (4560 , 4600 , 4620) and that is why Intel wasn't so challenged by it or rather.
*
I think AMD might use its incoming Zen APU to tackle Intel G series of products.
Imagine polaris GPU embedded with Zen CPU... wishful thinking heheheeheh brows.gif

I forgot that Ryzen will have 3 series of product. (3, 5, 7) just like the Intel Core I series.
Here is the leak:

Original source is from china... that thread is deleted.

Are the pricelist shown above GST inclusive?
I feel kinda sick whenever hyped product in MY is going to be jack-up.

No, Outtel never smoke weeds. Instead, they asks/pays ppl to write "proper" Ryzen review. brows.gif
Some reject the Outtel's proposal on this:

http://wccftech.com/intel-playing-dirty-undercut-amd-ryzen/

I am sure the rest big name Hardware sites also received that "“call us before you write” memo... hahaha, Outtel is getting desperate... devil.gif

Looks like someone is targeting AMD again...

https://www.techpowerup.com/242328/13-major...uding-backdoors

http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/13-critic...processors.html

That yahudi company never heard of.. something is fishy, for Intel side, it got some times for its CEO to sell off the shares but never give AMD enough times to react. Let's how Lisa Su is going to respond..

abit disappointed, was hoping for a more core count [maybe 10c+] cause intel next gen [9700k] will most likely to be 8 cores [rumor] which is going to be out soon [rumor]

i feel that amd gonna lose out if they dont win at the core count, unless their pricing is super attractive
*
Intel's company size is 100x than AMD's company. With very limited resources, Amd still managed to surprise Intel with ryzen.
for me, if Ryzen speed able to catch up with core i7 +/- 5 ‰ considered an excellent job for AMD. 2800x is not going to be affordable.. as it's cherry picked.

In my opinion, 8 cores is quite sufficient for consumer level.

Uh guys, I have a question regarding to power supply sockets on x470 motherboard.
My old PSU has only 8 pins 12V socket besides the 24pins standard power sockets,
But, the motherboard has another 4pins 12V socket beside the 8 pins sockets. What does it used for? Is it ok that I just plug only 24pins+8 pins sockets.. I am worry that it might damage the motherboard if I don't plug in another 4 pins sockets.

Not necessary need to plug in the extra 4pins power, the 4pins power just for extreme overclocking.

OK, thanks for the info.

Dick move, but expected. Asus BIOS has been subpar for AMD for a while now. They probably think it's not worth the trouble to keep supporting previous gen boards.

last month, I m thinking of just swapping my old 2700x with new 5800x in my C7H rig without messing other things... Now I am forced to buy a new board if I bought the 5800x. Fark!!! mad.gif

hopefully better binned 5950XT exist in another 6-9 months. 1 shot buy this + a super reliable X570 mobo before AMD change socket platform, then Use the same rig for next 10yrs lol

FYI, zen3 is the last generations of socket AM4 processor.
Zen4 will be using different socket type which is going to support DDR5 RAM.
