Initially wanting to change to intel i5 kabylake but seeing as ryzen launching soon, might as well wait for it. Was wondering, amd processor usually have higher tdp compared to intel? my phenom ii x6 produce so much heat. hopefully this ryzen will have the same or lower tdp then might seriously stick back to amd.

Same! 1400x, higher ghz with less core count. doesn't really need 6 core for gaming.

damn, hopefully they will launch their r5 and r3 together with their r7. But seeing as we can only pre-order for r7 now, the chances are lower cry.gif

guys, ryzen 5 1500x idle / gaming temperature around 40~50+ is it normal? using air cooler dark rock 3 and open hardware monitor.

im using dual monitor setup xl2411 benq and 22inch samsung, ryzen 5 1500x and sapphire rx 580+ LE. usually gaming on the 2411 benq (full screen window mode) and 22inch whatapp, facebook those. so far no issue on stuttering, i can even run both monitor on different hertz, 144hz and 60hz respectively.

anyone here successfully overclock ram to 2666mhz? currently using x2 of this model ram CMK8GX4M1A2666C16 (corsair vengeance lpx 2666mhz), asrock x370 gaming k4 and ryzen 1500x. tried using xmp 2.0 profile but unstable.

bro, i've check the asrock x370 gaming k4 support bios update, both is 2.40 but different size (*edited my bad, one is for DOS one is for BIOS)will it patch the ram performance issue?

another question is, if i update to 2.40 from 2.10 will i get the benefits of bios version 2.30? (sorry noob question, first time update bios)

before bios update, i've load the xmp profile from corsair ram and keep crashing non-stop. now i've load it again after update and so far no crashes, haven't do any testing yet but so far so good, i hope hmm.gif .
