Initially wanting to change to intel i5 kabylake but seeing as ryzen launching soon, might as well wait for it. Was wondering, amd processor usually have higher tdp compared to intel? my phenom ii x6 produce so much heat. hopefully this ryzen will have the same or lower tdp then might seriously stick back to amd.

QUOTE(sniperz @ Feb 17 2017, 02:34 PM) It shows that their TDP is now below 90W with the cheap one having around 65W, sir. im sold, if tdp is lower / same as i5 kaby, and performance same.

QUOTE(BAlm @ Jun 1 2017, 03:01 PM) Hi may ask current Ryzen user with multiple monitor. Currently im using multiple monitor with intel + 980. When i gaming, i will switch to single screen mode because in extend mode seems to make my game stutter abit ( if its streaming something) After reading much review, i think Ryzen will solve my problem where i can watch stream at one screen (twitch, netflix etc) while gaming in another screen using extended mode? Anyone tried it? im using dual monitor setup xl2411 benq and 22inch samsung, ryzen 5 1500x and sapphire rx 580+ LE. usually gaming on the 2411 benq (full screen window mode) and 22inch whatapp, facebook those. so far no issue on stuttering, i can even run both monitor on different hertz, 144hz and 60hz respectively. QUOTE(llk @ Jun 3 2017, 12:56 PM) Ryzen is new product for AMD, some hiccups here & there is quite normal, AMD is trying its best to overcome all these issues, the new Agesa 1.0.0.6 microcode update is going to solve the ram issue according to AMD, right now some motherboard manufacturers have released their beta bios & the feedback from users are quite positive. bro, i've check the asrock x370 gaming k4 support bios update, both is 2.40 but different size (*edited my bad, one is for DOS one is for BIOS)will it patch the ram performance issue? another question is, if i update to 2.40 from 2.10 will i get the benefits of bios version 2.30? (sorry noob question, first time update bios) This post has been edited by seichirosano: Jun 3 2017, 01:07 PM

QUOTE(llk @ Jun 3 2017, 01:17 PM) I think the ver2.40 is still not incorporated with the new agesa microcode otherwise it will stated in the description. For your question flash from ver2.10 direct to 2.40 by skipping 2.30, you will still get whatever updates from 2.30. thank you so much! so meaning for now i should just stick to default speed and wait for the agesa version 1.0.0.6?
