my aircooled 7800x3d runs hot at idle close to 48C.. it unnecessarily boost during casual usage like doing ms office/browsing/4k youtube.
causing spikes to >60C and fans ramp unnecessarily even with fan delay.

currently i set maximum processor state @99% or 4150Mhz. CPU package maintain cooler @41-43C even when run 8k youtube videos.

and processor performance boost mode (hidden menu) state to efficient aggressive.

while in desktop. it will always cap at max 4150Mhz and avoid all those temp spikes. Very silent now as case fans can keep 600rpm.. my aircond is louder.

while in game i think GeForce experience will overwrite as still able max boost 5Ghz (even in borderless mode). Cyberpunk 1440p 120Hz DLSS Quality Frame Gen + Path tracing still maintain below 60C with max boost. When minimize (alt+tab) it quickly go back down to 4150Mhz

if u already have a x3d + x670e pcie5 mobo.. should just be able skip this gen.. save moolah for gpu
