QUOTE(instantsean @ Nov 10 2020, 01:19 PM) Bought it. RM2250 5600x + B550 aorus pro mobo. It's an okay deal . Using it now as we speak , with a weak 8x2 2800mhz Gskill ripjaws ram , still performs a lot better compared to my previous i5 8400. But the included cooler seems to be weak for this processor. Idle runs around 55C ish already , I've just ordered a wraith prism for it , hopefully it will do a better job while at the same time provide some aesthetic to my casing |

QUOTE(Explictz @ Nov 23 2020, 11:24 AM) 5600X owners, whats your idle temps? Around the same with the included stock cooler. Fractal design meshify C. 3 intakes, 1 rear 1 top exhaust. When gaming my gpu goes till around 77c max and cpu will reach 81c max. Mine is 45-50c while idle, using stock cooler, Corsair 4000D airflow case, 3 fan at the front drawing air, rear and top fan as exhaust.. Recently upgraded to wraith prism rgb just for the looks and better cooling. It doesn't hit 80c anymore. Idle Temps improved as well but still will hover somewhere around 40s and lower 50s. alfiejr liked this post

QUOTE(zack.gap @ Nov 30 2020, 07:09 PM) can recommend Asashi. I bought my bundle from them. Got my 5600x for 1299 + discounted mobo price so don't be afraid to nego. But Asahi packaging like crap right? I rmb seeing on shopee someone posted their package, the cpu box was packed on top of the mobo box with no extra box, literally just both items wrapped tgt and then cpu box when transported to receiver's home, the cpu somehow got pushed which dented the mobo box badly. But luckily still worked. |

My newly gotten 5600x with previous gskill ripjaws 2800mhz ram stable with xmp mode. Gotten a pair of 3600mhz ram as well, still stable, tried oc till 4000mhz also stable.
The only issue I'm facing is that my Logitech g305 wireless mouse somehow is facing random and frequent disconnection issues, however a quick Google search reveals its a common issue for that mouse but it only happened to me after I've changed to Amd. |

QUOTE(iZuDeeN @ Dec 7 2020, 11:16 AM) Its air cond room.. but its currently off.. on A/C the idle drop ard 3C... Interesting. I'll post my results soon as well, the highest I've seen my cpu was at 75c, pbo enabled +200mhz cooled with a wraith prism rgb. Though that was taken last night while my side panel was still opened awaiting the new gc to arrive.not much effect as the PC is placed on floor under desk.. and the PC & AC is blocked by the chair |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Dec 18 2020, 07:35 PM) I'm just pissed that they lied about the whole 2000mhz 1:1 IF support. Absolute bullshit lol. Good luck even POSTing beyond DDR4 3800mhz much less to say want to attempt 1:1 IF. Regardless of ram timings and processor or the whole 5000 series? This post has been edited by freakenstein: Dec 19 2020, 11:09 PM |

My current 5600x running on PBO and + 200mhz with 3600mhz ram tweaked to 3200mhz with better timings. Running it on a B550 Aorus pro board, been stable since a month ago when I got it.
I've even tried just plain tweaking my ram to run on 4000mhz previously for a short while, without touching the timings, there weren't any improvements so I reverted it back, will try tweaking it again. |

QUOTE(Jason @ Jan 18 2021, 02:38 PM) HWINFO + Riva tuner shows CPU load never exceed 50% Do this and your temps will go down even more plus perf increase , I did that and got lower temps and faster performance as well. But remember to test the stability of it. I adjusted and then played games here and there no issues but somehow my pc will auto restart when I'm doing nothing much like surfing the web. So yeah test your stability after tweaking it. so no idea. In any case my computer is snappy. I will be one of the very rare breed running A520 + 5600X. Because I have no intention to OC... given my casing airflow+thermal limitation. The RTX 3070 gets quite toasty too, peaks at 75C in the tiny casing. |

QUOTE(nrw @ Jan 20 2021, 08:48 AM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Edited*: added AMD's public use graphs. Edit2*: actually the boost clock override (up to +200MHz by AMD, up to +500MHz based on OEM) makes it much harder to have a stable system (with override of +200 or more) in combination with a PBO2 curve. I bet everyone having a 5600x and having played with +200 & PBO2 or above can relate. It just doesn't work all that well. If you want both, you have to settle for +50 or something much lower than +200MHz. |
