QUOTE(john123x @ Feb 8 2017, 08:11 PM) better stick with intel. Amd got poor track record. processors are expensive, if buy wrong, really will regret big time AFAIK AMD processors are always cheaper than their Intel counterparts it's only the performance that's letting them down I really hope AMD do well with Ryzen, Intel is slowly showing it's fangs trying to milk customers since competition is basically ZERO after the Bulldozer incident This post has been edited by ZeneticX: Feb 9 2017, 12:06 AM

9800X3D and 7800X3D price gap still quite huge, is this just our currency or dealership margins?
based on idealtech's latest price list - 9800X3D - 2399 7800X3D - 1429
almost 1k difference. I'm curious because I saw from other forums, in other countries like UK the difference sometimes is just 30 GBP... so it makes more sense to go with 9800X3D

QUOTE(babylon52281 @ Aug 14 2025, 07:52 PM) LOL The difference is not as apparent in Western nations bcoz their controlled by MSRP if bought from official retail. Here theres no MSRP so distros & reseller knows king CPU is hot stuff so if you want the best you gotta pay their extortion prices. 7800x3d is old stuff and typically Asian prefer the newest so it doesnt sell as well but theres the bargain if you dont mind buying older gen parts. Sucks.... but oh well 7800X3D is still pretty decent on a budget
