hi sifu2 and daiko, would like to ask for yr recommendation.

this is my current setup.

i5 3570k@4.3Ghz
Asrock z77 Extreme 4
Corsair vengeance 4GB 1600Mhz *4
Croyorig A40 AIO
Sapphire RX580 8GB Nitro+
Silverstone StriderGold 750w
1* SATA3 SSD, 1*7200rpm Hard Disk

my plan is to upgrade to 3600x , add in 1* M.2 PCIe SSD.

Do i really need PCIe 4.0 on x570 chipset? or x470 will do ?

Trident Z Royal supported or able to hit rated speed on x470? or have to go for Trident Z for AMD ? The price different byk juga..

A40 AIO cooler good enuf to handle 3600x for OC? If no then i will consider Alphacool 360 AIO.

Sorry for so many questions..
*
u know where to get Alphacool AIO cooler in malaysia?
or u direct purchase from oversea??

If true coming next week then I'll probably be getting the 5600X + b550m mb. Have been using my i7-5820k for 5 years now and it's due for an upgrade 😬

side note: any takers for my 5820k + mb? It's a 6 core and has barely been OC-ed. Have never overvolted and only for daily gaming usage.
*
how much will you sell for your 5820k + mb?

Hey guys, need a suggestion for my rig upgrade

[Budget] 3 - 3.5k

[Purpose] gaming, movie, music

[Hardwares that will be re-use] casing, gtx 1070, thermaltake 730w psu

[Games & softwares that use frequently] cod warfare and multi Android emulator to playing mobile game. sometime does playing games and watching movies together.

currently eyeing on ryzen 7 3700x with GIGABYTE B550 AORUS PRO AC or gigabyte b550 auros master or MSI MAG X570 TOMAHAWK WIFI.
any other good suggestion.

need suggention on ram and nvme ssd atlest 512gb

ram need to go for 3200mhz or 3600mhz which is more better for gaming??

if ram want go for 16gb x2 and leave another 2 slot for future upgrade better or direct put 8gb x4 better?

-> rig suggestion

anyways for ram:
2x16 better
3200 3600 not much of a difference if you do not tighten sub timings
*
then how about the motherboard and processor??
any good suggestion or anything need to be changed?

3600 is the general recommendation but Id recommend you get this only if it's a good deal. Try used units, RAM has long/liftetime warranty. Else, go with the 3200 mhz since youre only gaming. Do you see yourself ever doing anything more intensive than gaming? If not get the 8GB x2 3200MHz.

Consider the Adata SX8200 NVME SSD lineup.

If it were me with that budget and my priorities were gaming above anything else, I'd get a B450 MSI Tomahawk with a 3700X, RAM &  SSD mentioned above, sell off the 1070 and put the money towards a second hand 2070S.

thx so much for your suggestion bro biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
