Guys, thinking about upgrading to ryzen 3700x, is the ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING a good mobo for it?
Also, any ram should be compatible with new ryzen right? |

Do you guys think they will release new CPU coolers/CPU blocks for the new ryzen because of the chiplet design?

QUOTE(nrw @ Aug 14 2019, 08:45 PM) cheapest might be this one (on lelong at least) edit: cheaper on lazada, at least The ones you linked are slower in frequency but lower timing, so to get the full potential you much overclock the frequency higher? Is it guaranteed to be able to achieve higher speeds? |

Guys, ram speed for ryzen 3000 is still limited by the mobo specification?
Like asus x470 spec max ram speed is 3600 (if im reading correctly) so it wont support speeds higher than that? |

QUOTE(matni01 @ Nov 18 2019, 04:40 PM) Another opinion is required from sifus! I've just built a pc with the asus b450-f and g skill 3600mhz. After changing to DOHCP, the mobo is detecting and running the memory with 3600mhz speed. soo I browsing along motherboard specs ASUS ROG b450-F support only 3200Mhz (not gen 3 ready) MSI B450 Tomahawk Max supports up to 4133Mhz ( gen 3 ready) so if i bought a 3600Mhz memory, the asus mobo will underutilised it? please make it clear for me, soo newbiee lahh. *the tomahawk appearance looks soo empty compared to asus Planned build R7 3700x + 16Gb (8GB x 2 ) 3600Mhz Also, you can find new(updated) qvl at asus website https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/Socke..._Processors.pdf |

QUOTE(1024kbps @ Aug 19 2020, 12:53 AM) no idea on ambient. i think like normal msia room temp around 28-29? usually open aircond to around 26c though. do you remember your temps on stock cooler? if its this high all the time I might go for aio too. |

QUOTE(hashtag2016 @ Aug 19 2020, 03:10 PM) I think it is fine, it just an internal temperature of the cpu.. not the temperature of cooler's heatsink of your cpu. Is that on the cooler itself? The hi/lo thing? Yeah the noise when it ramps up to full speed upon reaching 65++ is kinda annoyingbtw, if your stock cooler Hi/Lo selection on the cooler hardware, u may set it to Low, since I don't think the fan speed affect the temperature much.. and while u r cpu is 100% run, it is far less noise at Low setting. |

QUOTE(hashtag2016 @ Aug 19 2020, 08:05 PM) yes, for stock Wraith Prism cooler. at Low setting, it only make woosh..woosh sound at max speed. Thanks, will try that out.btw, what most people annoying about is the fan speed crank up at cpu low load.. u can simply adjust the fan curve in the BIOS to avoid that. just simply choose a fan speed maybe around 1500- to 2000rpm before 70c or 75c , and then straight jump to max speed after that.. ( so , what u see is a horizontal line and then a slash).. u may do your own fine tune, I personally don't do that, and just use the same concept for all other aftermarket coolers . too lazy.. [attachmentid=10555891] Mind sharing your temps? |

Hi. Noticed my Ryzen 7 3700x idle temp is around 60+ and while load is around 70+. Is this normal temp or should I do something to lower it?? Not overclocked and using default cooler.

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Feb 28 2022, 04:27 PM) For a stock cooler those temps are normal. What about changing thermal paste after 4 years already now. Would that give me any significant decreases in temperature?Yes you can always spend for a bigger air cooler, go for AIO or go custom loop. The lower the temps for Zen 2/3, the faster it performs. |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Feb 28 2022, 11:52 PM) Yes, absolutely change the thermal paste if you're going to change the cooler. It's conventional wisdom not to re-use thermal paste. What if I don't plan on changing the cooler? Is it still advisable to change thermal paste or just leave it alone?EDIT- I suggest to use thermal paste that are not susceptible to "pump-out" effect, so higher viscosity paste like Gelid GC-Extreme instead of the typical low viscosity Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut. |
