I was initially worried about the 5800x temps as well, seeing a few sources around the net claiming it's significantly hotter than a 5900x. So right now I'm not sure if if my case is the rule or the exception, mine runs decent. Cooled by an EK AIO 240mm. My idle is always below 40c and load temps while playing Cyberpunk 2077 is 72c. CB20 hits 81c.

Pretty good temperatures there. My 5800x with BeQuiet DarkPro 4 idle temperature is 46 C and after running COD Warzone MW is 71 C. Cinebench hits 90 C though. I was thinking to get AIO but in the end choose air cooler. Maybe next upgrade.

Yeah, that's why I asked if that's the new "regular" price of the 5900x because of the pandemic. I just suspected they raised the prices here in malaysia.
So If it's just some high price decided among sellers, then I won't buy.
I assumed you guys are more aware of the current standing of the ryzen market.

But I doubt it will be RM2,499 since 5800x are being sold at price higher than that.
RM2,698.00

And no, not going intel. I'm inside the AMD Ryzen thread, cmon guys.
I bought 5800x for RM2099, that's bundle with mainboard and RAM last month at Lowyat. Slightly higher than MSRP for CPU. Now probably go higher.
