Can any sifus advise what could be the possible reasons of the the slow/laggy?
Do I need to upgrade some hardwares? Is it because of the RAM/HDD?

Try download and run Userbench. http://www.userbenchmark.com. Post teh result here.

Even without SSD you shouldn't get drop below 60 Fps in Dota 2.

Other than your single channel RAM, everything else looks normal. sweat.gif Did you High Performance window power option?
Can you check whether your GPU or CPU clock dropped really low while playing Dota 2? You can use MSI Afterburner overlay.

Can you give us your laptop full specs?

Guys, is it worth it to RMA a RAM if it rated for 3200mhz and Ryzen compatible but unable to achieve stable 3200 unless reduce to 3000?

Or is it actually memory controller or mainboard related?

it's an r5-2600x with x470 Gigabyte Ultra Gaming.
Ram in question is Corsair Vengeance RGB 2x8GB CMR16GX4M2C3200C16 which according to Corsair is compatible with Ryzen. https://www.corsair.com/ww/en/blog/Ryzen_Ve...nceDRAMLighting

But it's not in the mainboard QVL so... Not mine btw.

Did you try measuring load time of some heavy program or games? Want to see if those speed different is actually translated to real work/game time.

Anyone tried amd’s storemi

https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/store-mi

Combine different physical drives into one letter drive ?

Here go you guys. AMD StoreMi with 2GB RAM cache,  Intel Optane 32GB for fast tier and WD Black 4TB for slow tier.

[attachmentid=10048039][attachmentid=10048040]

Why do I get the feeling Primocache is better?

QUOTE(TristanX @ Oct 5 2018, 10:36 AM)
Nope. I could use this if you want

https://www.passmark.com/products/apptimer.htm

Which common program do you want me to test?

I got Final Fantasy XII and XV, Star Control Origins, Dragon Quest XI, Mass Effect Andromeda,  Monster Hunter: World, Secret of Mana for the games I bought this year. Pick one.
*
Which of those games have long loading time? tongue.gif

Kinda lazy to do Stormi cause it also screws up your partition. You cant see it from other OS if not Windows 10.
Got StoreMi results on earlier post.

Yes, you use 1 SSD for fast tier (MLC NAND is recommended) and hard disk for slow tier. StoreMi combines it. MLC based SSD is recommend due to writes on SSD. Most SSDs today is TLC based which has less endurance.
*
Almost 3x faster, damn. Is that because of RAM cache or PrimoCache doesn't cache RAM?

QUOTE(khiunngiap @ Oct 7 2018, 09:24 AM)
I know but not all , still off by 10 , 5 is ok . 10 is a lot for FPS/value 😂

Anyway to know gpu is properly installed and optimized ??
*
Try run 3DMark Firestrike and Superpositon 1080p Extreme. Both free.

Try overclock 1700 manually to 3.8ghz and overclock RAM to 2933/3000 or tighten the timings.

Aida64 have memory and cache benchmark tool. Free version can only do memory though.

Do you mind to share your CPU cooler fan rpm for reference when you playing game?

Can you try open side panel? That case look like it doesn't have any airflow.

Nah, maybe in 1 year but it only take like 30 mins to clean it. GPU nowadays come with 0dB fan, after 2+ years my 980Ti barely have any dust on it but my 212x need cleaning in like every 9-12 months. laugh.gif

Nowadays it's all about aesthetics, many casings have garbage ventilation/airflow to feature glass/acrylic side panel while having poor front intake even on some high end case.

That guy definitely have airflow problem because he mentioned temperature dropped significantly when he opened the side panel.

Ryzen stock cooler is great, much better than shitty Intel one. Suggesting him to buy a new HFS is pretty pointless imo.

Also if you haven't undervolt your CPU and GPU yet, you should do that. Lower power consumption and heat, everyone win except TNB.
