Hi guys, im looking to tint my vios. More for security purposes.

What combination or film would you suggest, for about 1.2-1.5K?

thanks guys
*
RM1.5k can go for 3M or Huper Optik bro biggrin.gif

QUOTE(lowyat101 @ Jul 29 2012, 07:56 PM)
V-kool Elite on Vios 2004 was failed by JPJ during recent inspection. It was installed at V-kool HQ in PJ.

Do you think I can bring it back to V-kool for them to reinstall after the inspection FOC?

Thanks
*
Any of tint also cannot pass in Puspakom, if you still cover warranty they will help you retint with same spec film hmm.gif
But i think your cover period was expired shakehead.gif

Ha-ha, I think "no comment" = yes smile.gif

Someone mentioned that in Malaysia the boss behind V-Kool and Huper Optik is same person. True or not?
I think the case about blurry Huper film was in relation to the security film. Steven, since you install Huper security film have you experienced this before?

Maybe it was a case of the water not fully dried.

Added on August 3, 2012, 11:18 pm
When you say clearest you mean highest VLT?
*
I think the case about blurry Huper film was in relation to the security film. Steven, since you install Huper security film have you experienced this before?
- Never, Original Huper Optik film even just tint and not fully dried will not blur when u look outside from inside smile.gif

When you say clearest you mean highest VLT?
- Not VLT, i mean when you sit in the car watching outside, it's super clear not like other film(Including V-kool & 3M) blush.gif

QUOTE(lonely143 @ Aug 3 2012, 11:24 PM)
Well,

V-Kool, Huper and Solar Gard all come under same boss =)

Correct the blur mostly cause by the adhesive(glue) of the film.
If too blur we can change it FOC if the film still under warranty

Yes the highest VLT film we have around 75% to 70% with IRR 80% - 94%
Im talking about V-Kool ya =)
Actually Huper also quite good because it wont rust but it reject heat slower compare to V-Kool
because metal vs ceramic
*
You are right rclxms.gif
C70 Heat Rejection slower compare to V-kool Elite 70 BUT not Sech 60 icon_rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(jchong @ Aug 3 2012, 11:32 PM)
So for the good film (like V-Kool) the glue is transparent and not blur? Or do you mean straight after install will still be a bit blur, but after drying it will be clear?
So metal film always reject heat better than ceramic?

Aside from that I heard metal film might oxidise (perhaps not the good ones like V-Kool) and metal also blocks smart tag, gps, etc. Dunno if true or not. I think the Huper sales push this point a lot, saying that their ceramic film will not block these things like metal film.
*
So metal film always reject heat better than ceramic?
- It's not true bro, depends on which film. Please welcome to my shop anytime, i will show you the Huper Optik, V-kool Elite & 3M Crystalline film biggrin.gif

Aside from that I heard metal film might oxidise (perhaps not the good ones like V-Kool) and metal also blocks smart tag, gps, etc.
- Yes, Even V-kool and 3M will also but not so fast.

Dunno if true or not. I think the Huper sales push this point a lot, saying that their ceramic film will not block these things like metal film.
- Yes, Not only Friendly to Electronic signal & also film life longer & Clearer icon_rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(lonely143 @ Aug 3 2012, 11:47 PM)
1st Question

The blur always cause by the security film, as they had more adhesive and more thick.
The blur effect would not come out immediately, its always after 2-3 years because
the adhesive starting to melt because of the heat.

2nd Question

Well, ppl always say V-Kool block GPS and Smart Tag. Back in year 4-5 ago we are facing this problem.
But now the problem has been fix by the manufacturer of the film.
The only problem is the auto gate sensor and the condo access card.

Yes metal reject heat better than ceramic =)
*
Yes metal reject heat better than ceramic =)
- Slightly Agree but Metal Heat rejection drop faster than Advanced Nano-ceramics icon_rolleyes.gif
- 4 years ago, V-kool Elite have how many layer ?
- Now, V-kool Elite have how many layer ?
- Why V-kool Elite facing rusting issue now ?

1. Need to refer back to the graph =)
2. V-Kool Elite - 7 Layer, V-Kool 40 - 9 Layer, V-Kool 55 - 10 Layer
Seriously we dont have problem with Smart Tag or GPS anymore.
3. Well all the V-Kool film will rust because of the material (Metal)
*
1. 14 Layer hmm.gif
2. After Cut 50% of metarial....... please imaging... but Smart Tag or GPS & Autogate still have issue brows.gif
3. After cut 7 layers, this issue appears cool2.gif

What i can say, V-kool Elite is the best..... Just for 5 years ago whistling.gif

Hope Huper Optik don't have this issue.

Added on August 4, 2012, 8:12 amGood to know Huper film is super clear. That's what I like.

The Ceramic series is super clear. How about Sech 60? Just as clear?

Unfortunately since I'm from outstation not so easy to go to your shop just to see.

But I read earlier got one person from my town who went to do tinting at your shop (since he was travelling to KLIA). He said he was satisfied with your service and workmanship.

Bro,

Im also selling all the Ceramic series =)

Just look at the spec of Huper C70 and V-Kool Elite

Overall the V-Kool spec still better than C70 -.-
Well the only problem be face is the film will rust when it contact with
water and air because of the metal. The smart tag or GPS 100% no problem, cause im using it now =)
*
Erm.... Our Shop also provide V-kool Elite & 3M Crystalline film biggrin.gif
I already mention that C70 Heat rejection is lower than V-kool Elite But not Sech 60, many thing is the digital Meter cannot read 1, Please feel free welcome to my shop to feel the real cool2.gif
And the new V-kool Elite Heat rejection drop faster then HO & need to change after 5 yrs this is TRUE icon_rolleyes.gif

PS: If 5 years ago, when ppl talking about V-kool Elite is the best.... I will diam diam tongue.gif

The Sech 60 spec also not really good compare to V-Kool 55 =.=

FYI, if Sech 60 or V-Kool 55 is installed at FWS the JPJ compliant is void....

Because of some Agreement with X-kool company, Huper Optik Sech 60 cannot list the Spec that higher than X-kool xlite 70 vmad.gif
LoL, that's why i mention. Feel the real is better than the spec biggrin.gif

Yes, the JPJ rules is minimum VLT for FWS is 70% above
for side and BWS is 50% above.

Sech 60 - VLT 59, V-Kool 55 - VLT 58
Therefore both product only can tinted on side and BWS
*
Sech 60 - VLT 59, V-Kool 55 - VLT 58

- Actually if u tint V-kool 70 for FWS also 100% will NOT Pass Puspakom hmm.gif

PS: You mention that V-kool was NOT Cover Puspakom!!!

wat u mean, i dont get it. y void?

Actually the rules for FWS is 70%.
But if u want pass Puspakom for FWS you need to tint the film that VLT > 88%. Because the Original FWS already have 15-20% VLT.

- At this time, you need to check your Tint supplier will cover it or not for Puspakom tongue.gif
