When was the tinting done?

You should complain directly to the lady boss.. mad.gif
Agard, Ais-Kool or Cool World should be okay for you..

If only this 3 brand can choose.... I will go for Agard.... thumbup.gif

Since you an expert in this field, what's your opinion on USA vs Korea films? Since price so much difference?  biggrin.gif
*
Good quality USA = Heat rejection drop few % after half/year and Film life longer.
Normal quality USA = Heat rejection %drop faster than Good quality USA film after half/year and will discoloring/fade but better than Korea film.
Korea = Heat rejection drop very fast after fews month & will discoloring/fade/bubble.

but I guess some cheap ones do last as well, I think so. Last time, my hubby tinted my wira, this was 7 years ago, at brothers for only RM300.

till now no fade or bubbles, and the cooling effect are still okay. it came with 5 yrs warranty.

Hi all....

I have now come to a problem.

My Vios is tinted with vkool55 all sides and back + vkool70 at the front.

I am using Garmin Mobile XT with Nokia5800... There is totally no signal at all

Does anyone here is manage to get GPS working inside those tinted? The tint shop no give money back gurantee.  so I am not able to take the tint out..

Please advice on the GPS model ... I prefer Garmin as there are more data for kampung area.

Thanks. and Cheers.
*
Any GPS also will delay....
If really want use GPS or Smart Tag can try change to nano ceramic film for FWS <- Not recommeded tongue.gif

QUOTE(zweimmk @ Jul 5 2012, 03:38 PM)
My Sa offer me vkool elite plus armorcoat security film @ RM1900.

Is that a good deal or do I go with 3M instead since they have raya promotion?

http://solutions.3m.com.my/wps/portal/3M/e...BFilms/BFilms2/

Any advice?

Car: new VW Passat

Budget: Under 2K
*
Vkool elite plus armorcoat for RM1.9k = Potong kao kao, now seldom ppl go for v-kool and 3m already due to film life, metallized base film(Effect electronic signal) and price still very high whistling.gif
If u dont care of Smart tag or GPS or Autogate not friendly then can go for 3M Crystalline, if always use Smart tag or GPS or Autogate then go for Huper Optik thumbup.gif

Inspira comes with EcoTint 6mil as standard... so dun need re-tint anymore i suppose...

Hmm... no good.. ok ok lucky I didnt take the offer hehe...

PS : As for Inspira being luxury saloon.. i went to wash car.. saw the scehdule there.. Small Saloon RM15, Standard Saloon RM18. But they charge me RM15 only... maybe see Proton badge pity me tongue.gif

Yeah, but for tint is count by size of Windscreen not size of body hmm.gif
If your car already tinted then no need to change 1st, if really cannot tahan baru think about it tongue.gif

Guys, I'm about to collect my Golf tsi in 2 weeks. Can anyone recommend me good tint? I've been using VKool and find it very very bad at heat rejection.

I'm thinking between llumar and agard or maybe wingard? Anyone can shed some light? Budget is around +/- RM 2k location, Selangor
*
Bro, are u sure it's original V-kool Elite ?
2k for Goft tsi can get V-kool Elite, 3M or Huper Optik already drool.gif
If u want heat rejection higher don't go for Llumar, Llumar is just more for security and less heat rejection tongue.gif

Hey, thanks for such a speedy reply. I don't know if it was elite, it has 5 years warranty, done 4 years ago, with security film etc, cost me over RM 2000. I don't remember what it was called, but I know the heat rejection is very very poor. Okay understood on Llumar.

So you suggest 3M or Huper Optik? Is there anything specific I can google about 3M? Because when I typed in 3M tint so many results came out.

Any news on agard or wingard? My friend says agard is amazing. Please advise?
Thanks for your speedy reply!

Agard and wingard 2nd level film bro mad.gif
2k go for 1st level film la, don't waste your money rclxub.gif
3M = Metallized base film that SmarTag, GPS, Autogate not friendly hmm.gif
Huper Optik = Advanced Nano-ceramics base wont effect any electronic signal and film life can last long 10 yrs thumbup.gif
Price is almost the same cool.gif

Thanks for the honest answer about agard and wingard! Didn't know!

And btw no offence, but I just noticed:
[WTS] Huper Optik Tint - Advanced Nano-Ceramic Film            in your signature. No wonder you're promoting Huper Optik lol, nevertheless it may really really be good!

I guess you'll probably say huper is better at heat rejection since that's my main concern. PM me any good prices or offers you have for my golf tsi please and thank you!
*
lol.... Actually V-kool Elite heat rejection is the best within this 3 brand blush.gif
Not i promoting Huper but it's real cool2.gif

Heard of all Branded Film here, still think that most important is the workmanship.

I have my tinted with MasterGard. Great workmanship
plan to tint my second car with them.

Added on July 10, 2012, 1:29 amMy Brother go and tint with Fujicool last few weeks.

But the workmanship seems so so only. (still prefer MasterGard)
But of coz we did not expect too much since it was a promotion from Groupon.
If pay for normal price , it is not worth for try.

How much u tint at MasterGard and spec ?

my sa offered the following:

Vkool elite for front and back windscreen. the 4 sides are with 4mil Amourcoat (IRR 70%) for 1600.

is this a good offer?
*
Don't go for SA bro.... Armorcoat heat rejection bad bro.... not worth for 1.6k....
What's your car model ? If u can pay for RM1.6k then sure can top up abit more to Full V-kool Elite better.

this is for Elantra MD. reason is i wanted to have security tint at the sides.. but seriously will vkool elite tint be able to withstand a hard whack? if its good enough i dont mind going for full elite.. you can pm if you have better recommendations. Thanks  in advance smile.gif
*
If your SA offer the price for font+rear is Original Vkool Elite(I believe for front they give Vkool Elite but not for rear) and side is Armorcoat is ok, just the armorcoat heat rejection not so good smile.gif
And Vkool Elite not SmartTag friendly tongue.gif

QUOTE(MeToo @ Jul 11 2012, 02:39 PM)
Same situation as you bro... still looking around for 6mil tint for side windows only, also elantra hehe.
Now I also might need windscreen tint for my other car if puspakom inspection dont pass...  sweat.gif
*
Actually 4mil and 6mil not much different bro, the windows still will break.
Actually not the film thicker better, need to see the film's gum quality & material wink.gif
