Just did my new F30 at Vessolar/Llumar Puchong. Very good PR, unfortunately, I'm not too pleased with their response on the quality of workmanship when I told them that the side glass/windshield had dirt trapped in between. Granted it is only less than 2 weeks, but will monitor and see if it is really 'like that wan wor'. I've had my other cars done elsewhere, cheaper, and in a cleaner dust free environment to prevent such issues from even arising in the first place!

I'll take my rm3k+ elsewhere with the next car. Pretty sure there are better and more responsible installers who'd do a much better job

Shaguarbb, so you would recommend sech60 for FWS and C40 for sides and BWS? Does the C40 qualify as security tint? JPJ passable? Or can kena saman but shop willing to compensate? Any other combinations which are JPJ, GPS and SmartTag OK?

Just some update here after tint with bro Shaguarbb's shop.

Went to tint 2 weeks ago during Saturday, right after taken my car. My fren suddenly said he also wanted to tint his, so met Steven at his shop, some explanation and we chose sech60 for whole car. Due to long hrs, Steven dropped me and my fren at OKR fren's shop....thanks Steven for the ride.

So far, the workman ship is good, i didn't see any dust at fws and side windows. Thumbs up!

Btw, just one question, i only notice after my fren ask me. The dark tint on top of the FWS, is not provided right? If i wan to tint, do i need to go back to your shop? Just worry spoil the tint if do at ppl shop, void warranty pula.

I've learnt that Sech60 is a metallic based film, so is it a bit pointless to go for Huper Optik then for its woo haa ceramic greatness?

Tats y a little bit regret after put sech60 whole car, i would recommend c40 for side and rws, sech60 on FWS only. I think this is the best and not easily see thru, safer from bikers robber....

For the sides popular choices are C50S and C40, for the front either C70 and Sech60...just don't understand why people would go for Sech60

A bit strange because HO is ephasizing their ceramic technology which claim superirority over matallic based film in terms of color fading, deterioration of metallic compound which reduces the heat rejection, trouble-free in transmitting radio wave, infrared signal (smart tag, smart entry, GPS) blah blah blah...hence they position themselves away from metallic based film like V-kool, LLumar, 3M etc...but with Sech60, they are competing against with these brands..

Hi..i just tinted my car with Huper Optik last saturday.. and until now which is 3 days already  still can see there are detergent mark on my FWS which make it rather ugly under sun light and some bubble (but no dust inside) and the side screen  ..just wonder will it go away later???

All sifu please advise....

Using Sech60 for the FWS...is it harder to dry???becoz my others window using c40 which dry already...

I have a question on 3M, I knew 3M crystaline very good on heat rejection, but id it safety film? anyway to improve the tint to safety tint? add additional safety tint layer?

Interest for HO for my sedan car, the most important is heat rejection, will used C60 for FWS, and the rest C40, or C40 for whole car,  prefer green /dark film, can PM the best price for this ? any brancher near to Klang?

Like to get advice from member about this "Vessolar"? Is that product good and what the price be?

C70 suffers from heat soak where rejection properties diminish after a few mins in the sun.  For my case, it started peeling off at the rear view mirror area after only a few months.  C60 is not Huper Optiks X3 ceramic range which is why the heat rejection is poor. Best HO film for the FWS is still Sech60 in my opinion. Color is compatible with c40 on the sides as well unlike the c70

Uncle Ben & JChong is right. Customer are very funny nowadays.
They want darker tint yet want to pass JPJ regulations.

Some of the shop do cover the summon even if you put tint around 30-50%.
This is because they can claim back from the distributor as "warranty claim"

For example, we are the V-Kool distributor (others tint shop need to get the supply from us)

Tint Shop A selling the same product as we, V-Kool distributor.
They do cover the summon even if you put tint around 30-50%, but we as distributor do
not do it.    Reason ? Because The Tint Shop A is their own business, under T & C they could claim back
from we, the distributor.

But bear in mind, if Tint Shop A do give you fake product or closed shop within the warranty period,
you say bye bye to your 5-10 years warranty.

Normally the JPJ wont give you summon but they will give you letter to re-inspect your car at
PUSPAKOM. I had lot customer whereby their FWS tint get tore off by this PUSPAKOM officer during
the inspection.

Do you understand now? There is always a win win situation dude.

So the other car owners who install HO are taking a risk then? Or their shops will settle the summons as mentioned by taiko jchong or there are some other ways to get around this problem. Can any one share how to get around this problem.

FXHP is lowest grade? i tot ST is the lowest?  I know that only front is crystalline but the side also not the lowest spec, somemore add in Rm200 get a HDR Cam with insurance LOL..
