Dear all,

I am getting V kool tint for my honda city. However, I am not too sure whether to choose Elite or Safety film. The price quoted is RM 1750 for Elite and RM1500 for Safety film.

Please advise.

The safety films are usually not as good in terms of heat rejection compared to VKool. I just did VKool Elite for my car, third car with VKool. I personally will avoid safety film, I'm more paranoid of being trapped in a car after an accident. Statistically you're much more likely to get in an accident compared to being hijacked/robbed.

All 3M Crystaline tint range is smart tag friendly and has abit of protective functionality already. meaning to say, if some motorcyclist stop beside your car and tries to break your window with a helmet or bat, he can't break it in 5 seconds or so. but of course if continuosly hitting for long time surely will break.

You can check that the 3M website does state it wont affect device and has some protection.
I'm using CR70 whole car. no problems with smart tag and gps. whole car for my persona cost me rm1800. but they gave me a free MedKlinn car air ionizer which is quite expensive.

1700 is for what range? CR70 or 60 or 50 or 40?

70 is supposedly the most expensive. but tinting shop person say it will cost the same even if i go for CR50. He says it's just a matter or preference in terms of darkness of the tint.

I just tinted my car with NVIRO. Anyway, when I was driving in the afternoon, I can still feel the heat coming from the side window. Anyone who installed vkool feel the same?

why everyone go for vkool? Is it really that good? I always have the impression of vkool being overhyped. Just got famous because they are one of the first brand to start on car tinting.

Anyway, I am intersted in 3M and huper optik. What are the warranty like for these brands?

BTW, I do not want those that is really dark. Just a normal tinting with maximum heat block and works with smarttag. I hate those dark ones. Don't know why JPJ didn't catch these people yet.

My experience is vkool not so good. My city is install with vkool elite too. Smart tag need to put near windscreen so that i can be detected properly, on sunnyday it's till hot. I got GPS, signal is damn weak. My other car is install with Lumar, price very close to vkool. Experience with Lumar is much more better. Just my 2 cents.
