best for his comission?? ehhehe ..

anwyay i am using vcool the only thing good is the "darkness" other than that...i am alwasy winding down the window to open auto gate ............does 3m have that problem??

I have V-kool on two cars, Rike Cool on the 3rd. Honestly speaking I think Rike Cool is a piece of crap, the heat rejection is not as good as V-kool and I didn't really save a whole lot of money going for it. Even on a black car on a hot day, V-kool is better. I don't mind sticking my remote close to the sunroof for the heat rejection V-kool provides.

I'd like to try 3M but I really don't know if I want to gamble with another RM2k biggrin.gif

Whats the price range for V-kool and Ecotint?

Which one is better? I heard V-Kool is having problems with GPS. How bout Ecotint?
Thanks!

I have personal experience with V-Kool (2 cars), Rike Cool (1 car) and ayam brand (1 car). V-Kool beats Rike Cool hands down for heat rejection, my 3+ year old V-Kool on my black Toyota was still slightly cooler than the brand new Rike Cool on my blue Pug. But yes both have problems with GPS and SmartTAG. My conclusion is that good tints will always block GPS and SmartTAG signals.

V-Kool Elite is roughly RM2000 at Tint Shop for a standard sedan. Anyone have better deals? Good as it is, I don't wanna spend 2k on an old Accord CB...

I am getting V kool tint for my honda city. However, I am not too sure whether to choose Elite or Safety film. The price quoted is RM 1750 for Elite and RM1500 for Safety film.

The safety films are usually not as good in terms of heat rejection compared to VKool. I just did VKool Elite for my car, third car with VKool. I personally will avoid safety film, I'm more paranoid of being trapped in a car after an accident. Statistically you're much more likely to get in an accident compared to being hijacked/robbed.

Several GPS units have options for external antenna which cost little (~US$10-15). I have one on my Nuvi 715 and have not had any problems with V-Kool affecting my GPS signals.

I've tried several brands (Rike Cool, V-Kool, Solargard, Wingard, Gold dust) and will always go back to V-Kool for the high end and Solargard for low end.

It may affect the 3M tint either the adhesive or the film itself may react to the existing 3M tint, check with the 3M people.

Hi guys. I m looking for tint. My SA rec wind gard and llumar for insight. It's a protective film. Hm how bout 3m or v cool? Which is better?
*
LLumar, V-Kool and Huper Optik are all owned by the same parent company. The technology used is different (ceramic or metallic based tints) with almost the same results.

3M is also similar using ceramic tints but at least in my limited experience, a bit more expensive.

Don't know much about Wingard although my parent's Camry is using it and it's quite effective.
