saw this new old stock tag heuer blue 1500 WD1214 model being listed in the market currently for RM1900.

am wondering what is the fair price for this model? considering it should be released and purchased in the 90s

can someone who have experience with older tag heuer model advise me how much is the fair price for this watch?

I'm planning to pull the trigger since it is a beauty but don't want to overpay for an old model quartz watch

Anybody know the cost to replace the battery for Aquaracer?
I hear the cost is more than RM100 and they just change with the normal battery.

Was told by Tag sales that it will cost below 150 but they will clean the mechanism for you as well as battery replacement

Thanks for the info, I replaced the battery yesterday for RM50, the shop didn't mention about the cleaning service, maybe need to go back to Tag service center if require for cleaning package.

For me I just want to keep at least one quartz watch, better accuracy, no need to set it when haven't worn it for a few days and keep on a winder.

Below statement should answer your query

"cost of the movement itself doesn't have too much of an impact, given all other costs involved.

Most models use an off-the-shelf movement, either automatic or quartz. Sure the quartz is a couple dollars cheaper, but on a watch that costs around $1000 that isn't too big of an impact.

The manufacturing costs for quartz vs automatic movement for someone like Tag Heuer or Seiko or any other big brand are very close. There may be $100 worth of cost differential, where as retail price for quartz will usually be many hundreds of dollars cheaper. "

[need heuer sifus opinion] hey guys.. I've found a classic tag heuer 1500 on carousell but is unsure about its authenticity.

the closest model I can find online is in flat yellow glow in the dark model while the seller is selling in gold sunburst dial.

owner also bought from another seller online hence could not provide me with much information about the watch history too.

the first photo is from an ad online while the following other 4 photos are from the seller's listing.

if this is not a replica or imitation then most likely I'll proceed with the deal. please help notworthy.gif

should be more expensive, the reason i was considering your version of the twin time was because it was still using the ETA2892, awesome movement...
mine has the SW200, which is quite accurate, only complain is the power reserve not reaching 38 hours... my seiko and orient has no issues doing 40 hours with normal wrist movement but not as accurate, but its still good considering both watches together is still cheaper than the Aquaracer laugh.gif
