Just to ask again, did anyone get VoLTE to work with phones not in Maxis list?

Because most modern phones support VoLTE

My moms note 10 lite got maxis volte so I assume the plus would get it automatically too

Finally my line is VoLTE activated.
Wake up this morning with VoLTE 1 symbol at the status bar.
Mine is Maxis One Prime supplementary line.

Those smartphones not in the list also can support for VOLTE. Subject to their process. May I know Android users can use VOLTE service? Understand from Maxis support only iOS but not Android. The earliest that released for Android is end of this year or beginning of 2021. Anyone can clarify this information?

Actually the process is pretty easy. Firmware upgraded to latest version and enabled VOLTE from Sim Card will do. Why make so much requirement and said our 1 year old phone not supported? This part in fact is ridiculous to published it from their Maxis portal.

Better call them directly and clarify this matter. If they cannot solve within a reasonable time, will take to consumer tribunal for next escalation.

What plan and phone you are using now?
They have clearly stated only Maxis Postpaid consumer and Hotlink Postpaid for the first phase.
For Business and Hotlink Prepaid customers will be activated on the later phase.
Maybe they don't want to release it simultaneously so that if got any issues later, they will not affect many customers.

Sadly Note10+ still doesn’t get VoLTE after updating November batch update 😕

my test proved it's nothing to do with firmware but instead the device activation by maxis, a network push, so no matter what you do, if maxis doesnt have them in supported list, you don't get the volte

but some did fool the c.s into pushing the config to their phone

i did ask maxis customer service last week, they stated that only iPhone support for VoLTE...currently non Android phone supported yet.
they still "improving" their service for Android phone..
so for Android phone tak tau bila will have this service.

Nope, it is firmware based
For example, if u insert digi sim, it will support digi volte and vowifi
If u insert celcom sim, it will support volte only and dun have vowifi
If u insert maxis sim, u wont get any

This same goes to iphone /huawei/larger phone manufacturer

Of coz, all the sim above shud provision volte in their respective network first.

Else, ur maxis number is not volte, insert to iphone 11, then u won't get any volte.

Profile + phone firmware = volte
Also for 5g, if u remember samsung dun wan enable for umobile 5g even though umobile willing to provision all user to 5g.
Profile + not support 5g note 20 ultra plus plus plus 5g = cant attach to 5g
