I think you need to manually enable VoLTE at the Mobile Data of your iPhone. Not automatically enable.
And there is no VoLTE icon for iPhone.

Just to ask again, did anyone get VoLTE to work with phones not in Maxis list?

Because most modern phones support VoLTE
*
Remember last time YES & DIGI launched their VoLTE, also specific models can support despite some models already VoLTE ready in other countries.
I see iPhone 7 is a 2016 phone versus Oppo, Huawei Samsung all are 2019/2020 phones ... maybe device manufacturers don't want to turn on the feature for them ... indirectly ask people to buy new phone

Those smartphones not in the list also can support for VOLTE. Subject to their process. May I know Android users can use VOLTE service? Understand from Maxis support only iOS but not Android. The earliest that released for Android is end of this year or beginning of 2021. Anyone can clarify this information?
*
Majority of the smartphones in the list are non-iOS.
Some people using Note20 here already said can use VoLTE which confirmed is non-iOS devices.
Those using android phone in the list should just manual firmware upgrade to try ...
Those phone not in the list can pray hard ...

Actually the process is pretty easy. Firmware upgraded to latest version and enabled VOLTE from Sim Card will do. Why make so much requirement and said our 1 year old phone not supported? This part in fact is ridiculous to published it from their Maxis portal.
*
As you said, firmware upgrade to latest (device manufacturers control this) and enable VoLTE from SIM (operator control this)
I think device manufacturers are the one not upgrading their firmware to enable VoLTE for Maxis.
Like iPhone always get the latest firmware upgrade every year when Apple intro new iOS, Android (Samsung, Oppo, Huawei) can't say the same ...
Is there a Samsung thread we can complain hehe ... i want to complain also

Better call them directly and clarify this matter. If they cannot solve within a reasonable time, will take to consumer tribunal for next escalation.
*
The plan i signed with maxis does not indicate they will offer VoLTE for free or offer VoLTE in specific. Tribunal will layan this kind of demand?
Is like the car i bought only support diesel not RON95, so i complain to SHELL why my car can't pump their RON95 and expect them to solve the problem?

What plan and phone you are using now?
They have clearly stated only Maxis Postpaid consumer and Hotlink Postpaid for the first phase.
For Business and Hotlink Prepaid customers will be activated on the later phase.
Maybe they don't want to release it simultaneously so that if got any issues later, they will not affect many customers.
*
For me is not the plan problem, just my device is not listed as supported VoLTE in Maxis. I'm using Note10+.
So can only wait.
But another forumer suggests to launch complaint to tribunal cause the phone not supported ... lol

my test proved it's nothing to do with firmware but instead the device activation by maxis, a network push, so no matter what you do, if maxis doesnt have them in supported list, you don't get the volte

but some did fool the c.s into pushing the config to their phone
50/50 chance
*
From reading all the feedback here, I think

1. Firmware of phone needs to support
2. The right phone model
3. Maxis needs to enable the sim
4. The correct postpaid plan

Just some of people, has the right firmware but sim not enable ...
then some with sim enable but firmware not updated ....
some with sim enable but not the right phone ...
some wrong plan on the right phone right firmware ...

Too many permutations ... confusing ...

Just patiently wait for the device manufacturers to update the firmware to turn on the VoLTE for Maxis ...
Already know is time wasting to ask Maxis CS.
I don't think Maxis can control when device manufacturers going to push the firmware to enable VoLTE for them ... Samsung as i can see is monthly, once is updated then the VoLTE will be turned on.
Some like S10, S10+ Maxis VoLTE activated in the Nov firmware upgrade but Note10+ is not. So it maybe arrives in December firmware upgrade...

I checked the info here firmware upgrade here ...

Nope, it is firmware based
For example, if u insert digi sim, it will support digi volte and vowifi
If u insert celcom sim, it will support volte only and dun have vowifi
If u insert maxis sim, u wont get any

This same goes to iphone /huawei/larger phone manufacturer

Of coz, all the sim above shud provision volte in their respective network first.

Else, ur maxis number is not volte, insert to iphone 11, then u won't get any volte.

Profile + phone firmware = volte
Also for 5g, if u remember samsung dun wan enable for umobile 5g even though umobile willing to provision all user to 5g.
Profile + not support 5g note 20 ultra plus plus plus 5g = cant attach to 5g

This is the most plausible explanation thumbup.gif
