hi all, i am fresh graduate and i am going to work in penang.

I would like suggestion for which model should I take, the exec or premium?

Premium is RM300 more downpayment and RM40 more repayment per month than the executive model. (For 7 years repayment).

Is the spec worth the extra payment?

p.s. I dont do modification and car to me is just to transport. However, safety is always my priority.

Just got my car on the last weekend. Saga Exec Metallic Grey

Anyway, my car has this delay when I press the pedal. Sometimes 0.2sec sometimes 1sec. Is this normal? Can the SC fix this? How should I tell them?

It's quiet normal for Proton car, my friends Exora & S.Flx all car key battery died within a year. So they all go Mr.DIY buy 10pcs++ CR2016 battery for backups wink.gif
You can try below CVT adaptation from one of this group member it.fusion, hope help.

btw.. for CVT lagg.. try doing the CVT adaptation procedure.. this helps abit...

http://service.punchpowertrain.com/wap_pro...l_en/id/33.html

CONDITIONS

Throughout the procedure
Vehicle being stationary
Accelerator pedal is not applied
Stable engine idling speed
Stable and warmed-up CVT fluid temperature
Foot brake is applied
PROCEDURE
warm up the engine and transmission
shift to Neutral (N) position for ≥ 5 seconds
shift to Drive (D) position for ≥ 5 seconds
shift to Neutral (N) position for ≥ 5 seconds
shift to Reverse ® position for ≥ 5 seconds
repeat step 2 to step 5 for 20 times* (apply foot brake throughout this stage)
shift to Drive position
gradually accelerate to >50km/h
gradually stop the vehicle
complete
*
thanks for the tips! Will try that on the weekend hopefully it helps. sad.gif

Anyway I realise my steering wheel is a bit "sengek", it's like 1 degree or 2 of "sengek" but since it is a new car I am being picky about it haha.

However, when I release my hands the car doesnt go side way, just the steering is maintained "sengek". Will probably let the SC check my alignment. But how much will they charge for the service? So sad not even a week then my car already has problem D:

Hi guys, I have another question again lol

How's you guys' fuel consumption? I used around RM50 for 220km+++. Every morning jam 20minutes and evening jam 40min. (You know la Penang 24/7 jam one)

Is this normal? I know the FC won't be as good as Bezza but coming from a really old car, it's already an improvement for me biggrin.gif

hi guys, my car previously has this delay during pick up but now reaching 800km milleage, the problem no longer exists. BUT, this new problem comes up: jerking randomly when the car engine is cold or when the rpm drops below 1k. But it only happens once in a while. How do I fix this or which part of the car should I check when I send for servicing?

Yes the ketek ketek sound. I also have. It's called pinging. In my earlier post I got show video. Happens when u sudden accelerate at high gear and at uphill. But I ignore it already as my sc and most people say it's a campro thing. It's meant to ping and does not bring any problems in the near or far future.
The one I'm afraid though is the loud metal knocking in my engine compartment whenever I turn and go through uneven surface which also I've posted before the video in this thread. Seems like so far only I have this issue. It has not cause any harm yet but who knows? Nobody knows! Even fking proton main center of "excellence". Fuck my life if anything bad happens in the near or far future..
*
I also have this knocking sound in the engine when going uphill. Not sure if can fix or not. The vibration is so violent i scare some part of the engines might dislocated? (Feel like got new sounds after driving uphill like that)

Hi all.. I have 2 minor questions.

1. Will driver's door lock lock the whole car like other cars? my saga wont lock all the door when i lock door at driver side.

2. Does the 2 buttons in attached picture got light? My saga dont have light for these 2 buttons... these 2 button darkdark during night
*
My SA told me the manual lock on all doors are disabled and the only way to lock or unlock is to use the button below the radio. All the manual locks are very stiff and I didnt try to use that scare will break something

I wish this thread has more people joining in to discuss. Always the few same people talking here. No one buy the new saga huh? sad.gif For me it's really affordable and comfy. There are minor issues which I believe not every car is perfect. Very satisfied so far driving 900km++. Servicing this Saturday.

Guys my car is still jerking randomly when driving slow or pick ups. Sent to sc for resetting still the same. Any possible solution?

I realise it only jerks when jamming. It is when I see front car moves, I press gas, then the car stops again, then I slow down, then car moves again, then I press to speed up (MOSTLY WILL JERK THIS TIME). Hope you guys can imagine the scenario like this. It is during traffic jam.

Not sure about you guys but my car jerking is like jerk 3 times quickly in one go. It doesnt feel like rattling but more like the engine doesnt get enough petrol. (same like those old cars when their engine is dying and the car keep jerking.

Ok I re-do the CVT clutch adaption now my car is smooth no more jerking. It seems need to be done frequently to prevent jerking.

Now all the remaining issues for me are all the sounds.
1. Tiny "ting ting ting" sound coming out from the panel (between air con and radio) when going uneven roads.
2. Bumper stopper problem not yet fix due to the inexperienced SC I went. Going to different SC this week.
3. Air con turn on when the car is cold will produce big loud noise.
4. When going low speed in traffic jam, when I accelerate I can hear something like clutch engaging but it is very similar to the air con noise.

New saga is really a good drive and I feel it is quite stable especially for highways (at this price) but all the noises are driving me nuts. vmad.gif vmad.gif bangwall.gif bangwall.gif bangwall.gif

Hey guys, I just done my 20k mileage service like last week or so. Today I driving on the road, whenever crossing the speed bumps, I can hear squeaky noise coming from the left front tyre.

Anyone knows from experience what might be the root cause?

I am starting to lose confidence with Proton SC in Penang.
*
wow I wish I am lucky as you. 20k then the problem came out. mine came out around 300km. 90% of the new saga has this problem. Just send to experience SC and they will change the bumper stopper for u.

Why?
What's the difference it happens at 20k and 30k mileage?
The SC I go to is the main one.

I am so desperate I actually looking to let other mechanics to do servicing from now onward instead of going back to service centre.
A lot of those related to wear and tear is already not under warrantee after 18k or 20k mileage.

And it's not like their servicing is cheap also.

Anyone has feedback about such move?
*
I mean you had the issue when 20,000 KM. Mine started since 300 KM.

I celebrate too soon. The glovebox rattle is back  bangwall.gif . But less frequent & sensitive. But it's back alright..  vmad.gif

Another warranty claim?  dry.gif  Damn lazy want to go back SC and explain to them need another glovebox.  mega_shok.gif
*
the glovebox rattles in my car too. I realise when compared to other cars the saga's glovebox is kindna loose. I think add some foams or sponge will stop it from rattling. Haven't DIY though. lol

I heard the handling of this new saga is quite good , may i know how good is it ? haha I havent have the chance to try out this car
*
go test drive! you will feel the good in the handling. People say the steering is quite heavy but I call it stable and steady. and many more examples that you will only know if you really drive it yourself.
