Hi SingK, May I know how to recalibrate the meter? Is it can be done on SC?
*
sc should have the capability to recalibrate the meter in a good workmanship standard. but they likely to turn down your request as you modified the rim size from the original spec, in which OEM not advise to do (but they like it because they no need to honor the warranty for related parts LOL)

or maybe some established workshop might able to do that as well.

i think you need to find outside workshop to do it for you.

By the way, do you guys faced have this issue when you start to press pedal, the car will rev to almost 2k rpm then only start moving for Saga VVT CVT standard variance?

Is there any ways I could do?
*
always happen? or only during cold start?

Hi SingK, it will happen during cold start or during jam situation where the car feel like doesn't want to move until it rev until 2k/rpm then it will start to move.
I wonder does SAGA standard VVT come with engine breaking, cause mine whenever come to a downhill, I don't feel the car got engine breaking while my friend Persona VVT do have the engine breaking feel where I can see the rev automatically rev up.

Thanks.
*
cold start is kinda normal, once it heat up then it should back to normal idle rpm, btw, yours is Saga VVT 4AT or CVT?

Hi SingK, during jam my SAGA VVT CVT also have to rev until 2k/rpm only start moving.
Should I send it to SC for checking?
*
yes, it could be the clutch adaptation issue.

Anyone know where can I buy cheaper Petronas Engine Oil?
*
petronas syntium SE should be the cheapest authorized selling item. anything cheaper i think you may need to go buy online which you have no idea on the authenticity.

Looking for a good value for money sedan and found that there r many new Saga on the road. Why is it doing well?
*
also plenty of bezzas on the road as well, heard bezza FL outsold saga vvt FL. anyway, it's all down to your budget and what you want bro. saga and bezza, though they are same segment but own has their own advantage and disadvantages.

for those who don't drive fast, i recommend bezza rather than saga.

had been driving bezza pre-fl for 500km (hilly and city) in few days i know why bezza has more buyers.
*
i had a bezza pre fl in my house and i agree to your point.

QUOTE(icebryanchan @ Apr 13 2020, 10:59 AM)
Hi guys,

I realize sometimes my air-con is getting warm for a while, from time to time.

Then I checked the fan is working properly.
BUT
it is only spinning when I am turning on the air con.

After a long drive, I am assuming the engine is pretty hot. Then I tried turning off the air con. Since the engine is still hot, I was expecting the fan will remain spinning. But that is not the case.

Is there something wrong with my fan? Or it is just my fan relay gone bad? or my thermal sensor is at faulty?

Need some advice please, although the engine can still be cooled down by using the air-con to make the fan spin.
*
million dollar question will be, is the refrigerant pressure ok? checked?

by the way, the engine coolant cool down trigger and aircond cooling trigger works independently, and not necessarily after a long drive the coolant requires cool down. because if you having a long drive lets say highway, the coolant is actually cooled down quite well, unless you whacking it hard all the way.

last year December just check and reflush the air con refrigerant, not sure about the engine coolant though.

But recently I see my coolant is overflowing out from the reservoir after idling few minutes without turning on air con. but now the coolant level is still ok.
*
For a start, check reservoir level. If overflowing then reservoir level should go down.

Next thing to do since now is MCO period you should have more time to do it, Fill up the reservoir to full level, start the car, let the engine run until the "optimum temperature" i.e the 3 bar, pop up your engine bonnet, and observe whether the fan turn on or not. If you see the reservoir boiling, then check the temperature bar, 3 or 4 bar? if still 3 bar and boiling, maybe faulty radiator cap or even faulty (dumb) temperature sensor. If it raise to 4 bar and the fan doesn't switch on, need professional advise already.

cold started engine, idle for 10minutes, no turn on air con at all, temperature bar go up to 3 bar, fan no spin at all, reservoir overflowing.

Possible fan relay spoiled? or I can just confirm temperature sensor spoiled? are these under warranty?
*
if fan relay spoil then by right the fan won't start turning when you switch on the aircond. Maybe you should pay a visit to car sparepart shop if you don't mind spending some money for a new radiator cap. If changing the radiator cap works, then it is the problem. Else, it could be others. I have a wild guess is that the coolant system might behaving air pocket. Something that is common for persona vvt, but then the temperature will shoot up to 4 bar and the fan will keep on spinning non stop even you off the engine.

questions:
1. have you been servicing your car at sc? or outside?
2. what is the colour of the coolant? any sign of rust?
3. check the radiator, is there any foreign debris inside?
4. how old your car?

QUOTE(SKY233 @ Apr 19 2020, 05:14 PM)
thanks bro... still dont have chance to go test drive new saga.. plan to get 1 premium spec..
quite long service interval for this AT
*
i think 60k km service interval is pretty common, mazda skydrive also 60k km if not mistaken. I think during the atf change it is draining most if not all of the ATF out, because you are paying 2xx plus for ATF change.
yeah, go test drive before you decide to buy it. your own feeling and interaction with the car is the most important thing.

Ya, it is my 1st car and its defective unit, 3 of my friends get the new saga last year Oct, Nov and Dec 2019, all have no issue other than the headlamp, the radio rear plastic cover and the annoying noise when rolling the rough road. They get ECU software update too.

the minor problems that I still can be acceptable, however the hard start issues and transmission issues that I cannot accept. Its like combo both in the same unit.
*
looks like you got a really bad lemon unit to be honest, had you escalated this issue to Proton Customer Care HQ level? If not, you better do so. Don't expect SC able to do something for you.

Add rubber padding underneath there. The metal is vibrating with one another.
*
Bro, that's a smart fix! Can i ask you something?
1. is this done by SC?
2. they wrap the whole power steering cooling hose? Or just the portion where the metal clipping?
3. Is that a rubber padding? Or something like a foam?

I wanted to collect this info and talk to the sc i'm visiting after MCO during my car service.

they only key into Proton system about what they have done but what they didn't do and the reason why didn't done are not key into proton system. I don't know why. so guys, if have any issues reported to SC other than normal service, please make sure it was key into the system and ask them to commit it.
*
nak tau la, kalo tak tak buat dan tulis dalam system, HQ akan tanya punya lo. hahaha

Yes, HQ will ask, they want to avoid HQ follow up. But when customer follows up with SC, SC will find any reason as excuse. Until customer self contact HQ than they take action depending. So fed up have this kind of system.

250 km pre tank how heavy footed are you lol
*
1. because the meter is calibrated based on R13 circumference, when it changed to R15, the actual travel distance on the meter doesn't match the one that actually travel
2. the powertrain is calibrated for R13 size, change to R15, surely not that suitable, unless 95% on highway driving, if 95% city driving and change from R13 to R15, good luck.

your prob fixed? can share? my cvt dont rev till 2k rpm then move on jam.  but sometime on cold start
*
mine wasn't cvt so i wasn't sure is it common for cvt to move until 2k rpm, but it sounds weird, i feel it could be due to the start up clutch of your cvt unit, maybe requires clutch adaptation

QUOTE(billychong930518 @ May 19 2020, 04:00 PM)
I've been to Senaxis to adjust the brake pedal height, however they said can't adjust the brake pedal height. It's already fixed, not sure which SC able to adjust the brake pedal height.
*
heard is cannot adjust due to safety concern. Imagine you have an elephant leg and the brake pedal and the throttle pedal is on the same level, what gonna happen if you meet an emergency and your instinct is whack on the pedal? which pedal you end up pressing?
