Ya lor, but it's newer card, so cannot go discount too much. But still, it packs quite a punch for most people. The price is inline with the GT 730 before it, but I do hope it falls below RM300 soon.

wah so lucky those people who won the nvidia day lucky draw getting 1080s and 240hz monitor so jelly .

sad.gif the only decent thing I got was the t-shirt and mouse pad hahaha . I saw goldfries making a speech and being given the nvidia geforce mini flash drive thinggy.

Overall not a bad event. Though I wish if they can do like mini tournament game like fifa or overwatch. Maybe that just me
*
In my opinion, the event was poor, as it was Nvidia's event. When I first arrived, I can't believe that I've circled the whole place in under a minute. sweat.gif

i have a MSI TwinFrozr GTX 670 at home, after a while, it keeps crashing, i cant play such games. such as dota, CSGO
already on update to latest driver,

Try downclocking. Sometimes, even pre-overclocked cards can haywire.

oh, 2012mhz cause my temp at 43C  hmm.gif
if like that even tho i pump +250 core clock into it, it won't reach 2200mhz as well since its dependent on the temperature...
y la the OC is not as straight forward as last time....what you add is what you get  sad.gif
*
Actually, with GPU Boost 3.0, most users can have overclocked card, without even manually overclocking. So, it's different, but better to almost majority of the users.

Mind to share which tools to overclock the card ? I installed GPU Tweak II from Asus, saw there are a lot of option there and not sure which one to adjust and do not know the effect if I change.

Any simple tools to perform overclock ? and steps if you don't mind.

Thanks.

Most people recommend MSI Afterburner.

i know its good for normal user which the card will automatically free OC for them...but for us whom tangan gatal, manual control is the best  laugh.gif
will try see whether can hit 2200mhz anot tonight.... laugh.gif
MSI Afterburner is the best for me. been using it since i learned to OC GPU.
*
Haha, if you want to tangan gatal with GPU Boost 3.0, you probably should do something to cool down your GPU further. Also, they do mentioned that OCing the memory would help boost performance too.

nvm, play with it tonight a while then will know its ceiling clock.

Oooo nice. All the best then. Maybe need to push higher voltage already.

I'm using Asus Rog Strix GTX 1070 O8G.
I knew that the default factory mode is Gaming Mode.
If using MSI Afterburner, which value should increase and how much to increase to get higher clock speed without fried the card.
*
I believe, if you didn't adjust the voltage to a higher value, the chances of you frying the card would be nil. Maybe you could ask sai86 for help regarding overclock, as he has much2 more experience than me.

Im seeing gtx1080 11gbps selling at 3.4-3.6k in lazada.

With this kind of price is it adviseable to get the gtx1080 ti or just remain with the old gtx 1080 10gbps?

*looking for opinion on which is better choice to upgrade from a gtx970
*
No need to buy the higher clocked RAM version if the price premium is too high. The performance difference isn't that much, and you can always overclock the RAM afterwards (with the original clocked version) if you want. If you have the budget, then yeah, go with the GTX 1080 Ti.

errr most of the cheap 4k tvs cannot run 4:4:4 chroma sampling at 4k.

Well, that part of 4K is still yet to mature. smile.gif
Linus has done 16K though ohmy.gif

Yeah but marketing for tvs saying 4k has matured leaps and bounds
True 4k with 4:4:4 chroma at 1:1 pixel mapping still not that cheap
*
Well, leaps and bounds it has, but that was reserved for the high end products. For the more mainstream products however, is probably using the more basic technology to cut the cost down. Maybe when 8K starts to be accessible on the enthusiast level, then we would see more mainstream 4K monitors that are able to deliver 4:4:4 chroma at 1:1 pixel mapping.

Don't brain wash by LTT too much. Almost everything is paid by sponsorship.

I'm not sure how to respond to this, but yes, I believe they are paid for the videos they make.

btw, using the latest driver, PUBG running smooth and Auto highlight is working  thumbup.gif

Next year probably don't have the 2080Ti yet la sweat.gif
Next year usually, will be the year of 1st gen Volta Titan cards first.

Hmm... some in game stuff like grass or tree only will load out when I'm close to it.
*
That's render distance. Some games can set the range for render distance, most cannot. SSD don't usually affect during gameplay, but rather while game is loading.

I see... I had mine set to High. It bothers me quite abit. LOL

But if I set it to Ultra, my FPS will drop to 58... Hmmm

Stick to High only la!  hmm.gif
*
Haha, pop up issues is normal with games. Maybe try putting that on Ultra and reduce other settings and see if it can hit 60 fps.

guys im interested in changing a gpu to accommodate PUBG... currently using an old gpu, but running on i5 4460 with 16gb ram and SSD.... gpu is the bottleneck sad.gif

should i get 750ti, 1050 or 1060? i seldom play games, so dont plan to spend so much on it....
*
If Budget :
a) Between 500 - 600 : GTX 1050
b) Between 400 - 500 : RX 460 (around 10% less performance than (a))
c) Between 350 - 400 : GTX 750 Ti (around 10% less performance than (b))
d) Between 300 - 350 : GT 1030 (around 15% less performance than (b))

My HD4850 still kicking in my parent's home PC. Haha
But yeah, it won't play recent games at 1080p high.

Let's see what they'll bring to the market. I do believe that intel won't be making discrete GPU though, since the lower-mid power GPU can simply be installed on their CPU and it works just fine.
