1070Ti not bad mah, performance in games not that far from 1080 also, especially if manage to get it at fair price. Another thing also 1070Ti is good for mining both zcash (and equivalent mining that uses gpu power) and ethereum hahhah, while 1080 is good for zcash but not so good for ethereum.

hello, i need some pointers on normal behaviour of gpu boost 3.0, my "latest" graphic previously was hd 3470, so i only have theories.

Recently, i bought a laptop with gtx1060. So far, i played 1 game, anno 2205, noticed the following behaviour:

1. clockspeed of around 1860mhz, during intro cinematics
2. clockspeed of around 1554mhz, during a view of my city, ultra high settings, vsync off
3. clockspeed of around 1696mhz, during view of my city, ultra high, but reduced AA to 4x, vsync off

my temperature maxed out at around ~70 celcius.

i thought the heavier the gpu load, the clockspeed supposedly go up?

1) Throttle when reach temp limit, standdard setting for my 1070 is 82C
2) Throttle when reach the power draw. For 1060, it is 120watts

u do know every launch of nvidia x80/xx80 card are nvr cheap right .. normally usd 699. they will drop only after the ti is launched or amd has a card to challenge it.

24" 1080p 144Hz Gsync monitors mostly replaced with 24" 1080p 240Hz Gsync now which has exaggerated price (rm2000-rm2200). Better go for 27" 165Hz Gsync monitor since you are using gtx1070, if want budget monitor then go for freesync 144Hz 24" monitor, no gsync but the 144Hz is big enough difference, only around rm1000 like that.
