I'm having screen freezing during CS:GO.

Never had that issue when using GTX 970.

The freezing now is even worst when I game on 1440p Ultrawide. No idea why. GFE or ping spike that caused it?

I don't see any sudden ping spike in the leader board during in game. Sometimes it will caused the game to crashed as well. Really frustrating. LOL

Cant recall exactly, but you upgrade/downgrade to X34A from much faster display isnt it ? But if game will start crashing then  sweat.gif  driver ?
*
Used to play the game on 1080p, 144hz & GTX 970. Don't have the problem.

Uninstalled GFE before upgrading to GTX 1070. Right after upgrading, got alil stuttering in CS. Nothing major but tried Rise of the Tomb Raider, crashed on me few times.

Things gets annoying when change to Ultrawide 1440p. Will get random screen freezing in CS. Haiz... kinda potong steam.

I kinda think some driver or s/w related issue. I change from 23" 1080P to X34A, no issue at all except games have much lower fps  cry.gif
*
Should be the driver issue. Uninstalling & installing back will make a different? LOL

Your next step should be 1080ti rclxms.gif

Dang... I feel like going for 1080ti next year bangwall.gif

QUOTE(d4rkbring @ Apr 11 2017, 12:13 AM)
Which CS:GO are you playing? the comunity server or the official server? I tried on community server and it's really did lagging, tried Team Fortress 2 in official server and it's sailing smoothly biggrin.gif. #HD630 integrated graphics biggrin.gif. I'm planning to get a either 1070 or 1080ti...but afraid that next year new VGA would be launch and then 1080ti would become obsolete...I'm using time ISP and ping isn't that good for CS:GO...I stopped playing and switch to TF2 instead...
*
Er... From steam is official server? Ping are all good though.

Might be the driver. Just played a couple of round just now. No freezing just now. LOL rclxub.gif

Yup in CS GO you can find a game or community but well I guess if you straight away find a game it'll be official and as far as I know looks for the best available connection
*
Don't think it's lagging for my part. Something to do with the driver I guess.

Wont spend this much on graphic card, I dont game much anymore, will just hold on and wait next ( maybe next next ) generation's mid-high end card.
*
I think a GTX 1080 will do fine. Next gen mid range will just be like GTX 1070 with little improvement, I guess.

Let's see what will happen next year.

Will wait my Ryzen 7 build complete first then see how, since using g-sync will make 40fps felt smooth enough, I might able to endure.
Mostly newer gen will jump one tier, like 1070 = 980ti, so to get GTX1080 performance I can aim GTX2070  hmm.gif
*
I see... 40fps will just do fine. I thought I'm okay with average 45fps with Gsync but everytime I look at the FPS counter, I'll feel like... time for an upgrade. LOL

GTX2060 > GTX1070? hmm.gif icon_idea.gif

Haha... What I meant was GTX 2070* vs 1070.

Like 980ti vs 1070. Not much differences between the 2.
Based on the benchmark of Rise of the Tomb Raider. GTX 980ti = average FPS 70 and GTX 1070 = average FPS 63.

Will you upgarde to 2070 if it's only 8 FPS?
But I do hope it's more than that. Maybe 20 FPS more?
1 can only dream eh.

Well, few things I noticed from review and all is actually back to the resolution you're gaming at, GTX1060 is pretty good at 1080p, GTX1070 would definitely crushed 1080p of most AAA games, and comfortably play at 1440p, but if 4k gaming is your things then at least 1080 is required and 1080TI is the king currently (Titan XP is too much, and SLI...there's more problem to it than what it's worth, been doing SLI since like GTX 480 and well for most maintstream between price vs performance the 1 to 2 tier lower (e.g. GTX 1060 and 1070) is offering the best performance wise for the money), but it's all back to your setup and use case I guess, if you're heavy video editing like most youtuber, I think max Titan XP x2 SLI is all you'll ever need, since 4 Titan XP is a b*tch too hot to handle, and need water cooling to tame, the performance isn't like 4 time either, I can say estimate perhaps 2 time'ish...so well sometimes the young blood in our body telling us to go for the highest possible pocket can afford, but the wife beside you...well....*personalExperiences*

I believe you'll have a better chance getting GTX1080TI at bargain when the new G2xxx launched, and getting better performance compare to GTX2070.
*
Yeap... instead of jumping from 1070 to 2XXX, it's better to go for 1080 or 1080ti.

1080 still can handle most of the AAA titles in 1440p pretty good.

I won't be upgrading GPU anytime soon though. Wallet still bleeding from the purchased of X34A. Off the FPS counter and my problem is solved for now. thumbup.gif

all the 1080ti so thicc sweat.gif btw how is your 1070 for X34A? FPS for AAA games ca mostly 60+?
*
Need to adjust some settings in order for it to mantain 60 fps. I just play in ultra with shadow and aa turn to low. Can maintain around 55fps in tomb raider. With Gsync, go as low as 40 fps also feels smooth but of course gtx 1080 is the best la. Hah

Yes, My Palit Jetstream 1070 also a bit sangkut playing latest aaa titles with X34A. I think to be on a safe side minimum (for 1-2 year with all max settings) is geforce 1080 maybe?
Now 1080Ti comes out, let's go for it.

If every year got new GPU to upgrade, I'll throw my pc away.

But if I upgrade to 4k gaming, then it's different story. Lol

Not going for 4k, maybe in the next 5 year  sweat.gif

Ultrawide 3440x1440 (100hz) is enough for me and 1080 Ti is the sweet spot for it.
Fallout 4 - 80-100fps in the diamond city
Rise of tomb raider= 90-100 fps (when start of the game climbing snow mountain) 75-95 fps at the desert climbing the cliff
Watchdog 2 - 50-64fps
Elite Dangerous - 100fps all the time including planetary landing with ultra settings

and this card is set to silent mode  biggrin.gif
*
Damn... must not believe these facts!

Say no to 1080 ti!
