but the difference in performance will be too small, unlike the jump from 980 Ti to TITAN X. I don't think he will upgrade. haha

You're right, I notice that too, they all compare to the reference GPU, not sure whether they want to maintain good relation with all brands or something.

Not going for 4k, maybe in the next 5 year  sweat.gif

Ultrawide 3440x1440 (100hz) is enough for me and 1080 Ti is the sweet spot for it.
Fallout 4 - 80-100fps in the diamond city
Rise of tomb raider= 90-100 fps (when start of the game climbing snow mountain) 75-95 fps at the desert climbing the cliff
Watchdog 2 - 50-64fps
Elite Dangerous - 100fps all the time including planetary landing with ultra settings

and this card is set to silent mode  biggrin.gif

sweet performance... I'll stick with my sad 50fps with 980ti for now.

I'm not a software engineer, but I think in the future they'll be tools and SDK with tons of high quality assets to quickly make a good looking game. Something like what unreal engine is doing now.

Imagine if Battlefield 3/4/1 engine becomes open source, what normal people could with it.

Yeah man. The height for gpu  is too short. Nowadays gpu custom pcb + cooler giler big.
Phew, i almost go for Gamerock but heck, I'm just going to wc anyway, get FE and save the measurement headache.
+ blower cooler is good for small case.

If you want some OC headroom, can always slap on an Arctic ACX3 a year down the road.

That's like RM1k cheaper than market rate, they really ship to Malaysia without GST? I've ordered the recent HD6XX, but shipping to Australia.

Claim warranty if anything happens also troublesome.

For the warranty claim, is the Gigabyte model a troublesome mode? It look like the reference board for me... hmmm...

I think it's better than FE edition but I'm not so sure. For me.. I'll wait for Aorus 1080ti if I were you.

I don't need the extra cooling because I'm going to swap it out with my Accelero Xtreme III anyway.

Will China banning IOC affect the mining scene here?

Not really. They banned ICO ( too much scam at China ), not ban cryptocurrency or mining. Bloothbath monday was due to many people panic sell, market are slowly recovering now.

I see, thanks for the clarification.
