Got that  error as well during my first attempt. Called up ASNB to confirm it was not referring to some mistakes that I made while entering the data.

007 refers to the famous British secret agent!

Or it can also mean insufficient units available.

Ha.

P/S Not enough units available for the amount you have requested.

But its during the registration process of the account wor

Will be going over to their hq to update tmrw.. gave up on the banks... the asnb lady called me and im told the banks are actually paid to assist in all asnb transactions... and normally they are required to update into the asnb system right away, thats the procedure.. but seems like msia boleh...

Can do online, but takes 3 working days as per informed by the nice malay lady that called me smile.gif

Well in term of safety, there all have risk...
No investment is safe devil.gif maybe for FD tongue.gif

Hmm talking bout safety, what are the odds/situations where ASNB/PNB will lose money? With their solid fundings/variations in investment

Odds is low, but u never know..

The signs u can see is when the dividend rate goes like to 5.5% like that.. That's when u run..

For now, I see it's 50/50
*
Haha nowhere to run liao. Fd/asnb only. Fd rate is too shitty, for short term is ok la, but for 6 figures, the rate offered by fd is not really tempting at all... so far asnb still offers rate better than fd, but ofc there are other investments offering higher return with higher risks as well...

My parents trust asnb so much, keep asking me to pump in more :/ for me, its a dilemma. Returns higher than fd, and not covered by whatever pidm. But chances of PNB screwing up is pretty low to non existence? Maybe less returns but wont reach the level where making losses?

Well pnb funds is good temporary parking place until u are comfortable to take risk for others type of investment..

Some who don't have time to do research, will also dump in pnb funds.. Those retires also join the club..

That's why one withdraw, got people waiting to grab the units devil.gif

For headsup, saw at FSM thread, got 1 guy said he wanna totally exits as1m after dividend announced.. So u might get some chance too.. Not sure how much he got, but I assumed its must be huge amount...
*
Asnb to me is not so much about earning big bucks.. more like a passive saving tool for me.. i will keep some funds in there to let it auto-roll every yr, and 10 yrs down the road got some backup incase need $...

I dont really bother much bout asnb until recently when fd rates are not so tempting anymore.. fds have pidm, but asnb being under PNB, if PNB screws up, i believe msia will be in a big mess tongue.gif maybe just my own way of convincing myself its safe hahaha

my trick of adding funds to ASNB is once after getting the TAC, just copy paste the TAC number, keep pasting it and submit only despite it saying no more units.... normally after few tries, confirm can get...

so far been able to get without much issues

Up to you. Different to people have different allocation. I don't hace any more FDs. devil.gif Transferred majority of my FDs into amanah saham. Reasons:
1) no need to go chase FD promo every year
2) higher retuns of extra 2% vs promo FDs
3) FD money cannot outrun inflation and devaluation of RM
4) Highly liquid

My amanah saham is my FD on steroids as it acts like one. No chance of losing money as long as NAV remains at RM1/unit.
*
same here.. too lazy to chase the FD craze and switch from bank a to bank b, and ASx offers better rates as well... too much condition to meet for FD in order to get promo rate
