Thanks bero, did u manage to top up with online portal?
Asm gonna announced dividends soon?

I already stop buying any asnb since last year. Saving my momey for SGD since RM keep dropping. No point holding ASNB when your RM is dropping.

Better I hold SG stuff which can give me 6.x%

Sg stuff=Sg REITs? Like what we discussed before? Open sg bank account and invest there? Kindly pm me. smile.gif

I am starting to hold some usd without checking thr exchange rate, but RM is important for me as I will have my kuli life in Malaysia until gg.
*
Yes. That's right. Open account with them, dump money into their S-reit + buy some of their UT fund (0% SC + better selection)/ETF.

Any dividend gain from S-Reit pump back into S-reit.

I will be earning RM but I won't pump any money into ASNB/bursa saham. I will make a withdrawal for my ASNB once I start working. Right now I am not allowed to touched my money in ASNB.

All RM will be converted to SGD, AUD and HKD.

Information for opening SG account is available.
Information for S-Reits is also available

QUOTE(fairylord @ Mar 5 2017, 06:30 PM)

QUOTE(silverviolet @ Mar 5 2017, 06:36 PM)

I can bring cash maximum 30k each time I leave Malaysia and enter Sg? By car, by flight also same?
Is it safe to bring 30k in 100 notes? Or any alternative way?
*
You can bring max USD10k worth. whistling.gif Which means one can carry RM44500 worth. whistling.gif
Car, bus, train, flight all same.

That's for malaysia side. For SG side must declare if >=USD20k. No way we can reach USD20k. laugh.gif

SG have SGS1k note. whistling.gif

When you have no time to go down SG, you will need the cheapest bank to do TT. Still cannot beat money changer rate but still cheaper than other banks.

I prefer bringing cash down as each SGD10k I bring down save me SGD60 compare to using the cheapest bank.

SGD60 is enough to fund my SG account for 1 year (fall below fees)/6 rounds of brokerage fees.

One question that I'm hoping the experts here can help me with : are there any plans to make the system let us SELL units in future without needing to go to the ASNB Office or to an agent ?
*
From insider info poster, said yes. After they upgrade the online platform. Could be 5 years time. laugh.gif

QUOTE(kpfun @ Mar 8 2017, 08:54 AM)
I am really surprised by ASNB how they run their beta test with such approach - opening freely access to staff by a link without a comprehensive check on the user registration.

In practical, the beta for a highly secured application should be opened to a batch of qualified and selected users only. It is not like this way - Somebody gets the link, register the user access, and then, the access pass is granted, without proofing the user is staff or not. The only control is hoping staff do not forward the link to non staff only.
Wow! mega_shok.gif
Come on... this is a financial software, great impact, are them challenging or insulting hacker now?

And this is the same organisation you entrust your hard earned 6 digit (or more?) with  shocking.gif
*
That's what kaspersky does too. Release an unstable program to home user before it's finished. A user will always have to wait 6 months if they want a stable program.

That's why I refuse to use their program. Letting home user be their guimea pia and releasing a stable product for business 6 months later.

dasecret always the negative one to view ASNB tongue.gif as long as they don't songlap money, good enough for me. whistling.gif

Won't the agent banks be affected by the role out of this system? Less transaction over the counter, and less commission for them?

will they give preference to agent banks in term of availability of units?
*
Most likely yes.

No such thing. All agent banks are fair play. Siapa cepat dia dapat whenever units are available.

Very bad. Lose -15% before. Also giving more or less normal FD rates. Not board rates.

Looks like people start to see that bank always 'oscar' no unit - it may not 100% be oscar after all. Because there really is no unit.
Guess I'm not the only one wondering. Hearsay he 'retired'. lol
Or maybe he use different nickname now.
