But does PIDM would actually work if really something happens??

Because I Read somewhere, their funds is limited.. And cannot "cover" every account.. I mean pay up $$ if banks goes bust..

Maybe, the years collected premium are adequate for paying a bank run, but not, many bank runs.

However, the big boss is Parliament. So, I trust, they have a way to fund the payment.

This would not happen to asnb products. ASNB is an investment product and must carry some form of risks. If it is PIDM protected like banks, all FD deposits would switch to ASNB and cripple the banks in malaysia.

FP ASNx is a closed fund. It is not up to you. It depends on the fund availability.

There is no such thing that no more FD customers because of ASNx.

That's why they say Pnb also a bit shaky. Even the management looks professional but actually is like a pm fund . Not public mutual fund. Hahaha
*
The competency of ASNB management has never been my consideration of investing into FP ASNx, indeed, their political backing.

No one, neither the current government or the new government(if happens), allows FP ASNx to fail.

Who dares to screw up the 80% bumi's hard earning.

Looks like, they are having problem of VP selling. They are trying on something what banks do all the time, binding high rate FD with purchasing their trust funds.

No good for us who are unfavoarable of ASNB VP funds. In time come, more such promtions, and we are getting difficulty to buy FP freely. ASNB might reserve all free Non Bumi units for that purpose.

But they forgotten about the "hole" they actually made.... Once have number ahli, registered myasnb. Wallah... Can add / open new FP account 💪 muahahahaha

All the sold units will be reserved in a pool ( buyback ) for binding promotion purpose. So, we click click click click click....click MyASNB until finger got hurt, still no unit.

They dump asw also, I guess many are quitting ansb due to uncertainty of new govt?
*
Have you tried to buy ASW?

I have been trying every opening day since a week before election, can't get any.

Before election, ASM was available, but, this week, can't get too.

ASM and ASD give the same 6.25% dividend. So I expect the same for ASW this coming August.

But who knows maybe the new PNB Chief wants to impress Tun M and might give higher than 6.25%....Haha  tongue.gif
*
By looking at the current market performing, likely, lower than 6.25%.

Which year ASx is making losses? Can show me the FS? I am a FCCA and I only believe in audited FS.

I don't trust audited FS, especially, signed by KPMG.

Max 6.5% my guess...
*
The formula is: 6.5% minus DrM Effect = 5.5%

DrM Effect is defined as the principle of low salary and low income for a stronger country through building National Car.

I actually called ASNB n was told that u can only transfer  the same fund, like ASM to ASM or ASW to ASW. U can do it in any Agent Banks not just HLB.
When it is getting difficult to get units online in the future, then may be can sell off by transfer at a premium of 1-2%.

Black market exchange.

A good eg is Japan, US, EU. Their interest rate have been very low. The reason for low interest or negative interest is
1) make people keep less money in banks
2) spend to stimulate the economy

Tell me, if interest rate low, majority of the people will spend the money or save it?
*
Only countries with their strong currency can do that. Investors will still enjoy yield from their invested negative or zero JGB because of Yen appreciation and its stability.
