max ASB is rm200k investment excluding dividends

i think her rm200k is together with dividends that is why she can top up rm100

Thanks for the info. Needless to say my colleague is ecstatic at knowing this biggrin.gif

good comparison. i've been thinking whether to dump extra money into house loan or ASx. guess besides EPF Table 2, will put cash into ASx until the returns are no longer giving good returns
*
I've been pumping extra $ for my mortgage as well. So, is better to channel that $ to ASx instead? My intention of additional payment is so that I can shorten the repayment period. Any advice, anyone? Should I change strategy?

I don't think ASx dividend rate will ever be 7% or above even if EPF dividend rate is high, otherwise ASB and ASB2 customers will not be too happy...especially ASB2.

The Amanah service charges is reasonable compare with those Will agent. For 1 Mil investment fund they only charge RM5120 which fair.

I've done mine few months back and they charged RM100 for processing ,RM10 for stamp duty and RM6 for commissioner of oath stamping. PNB will withhold RM1000 for each fund therefore It's good that you do your will with them if your fund is large like more than RM100K, anything happened to you, your beneficiary can get your money within 21 days.
*
PNB will deduct the 1k upfront right? During dividend calculation time, is this 1k included as part of the total savings?

The disadvantage of myASNB is the minimum top up is RM100. Can do at RM50 over the counter!
*
Are you sure can top up with min RM50 at the counter? I tried once with ASW over the counter at MBB and the teller said min is RM100.

For those that has done penamaan, assuming that when I did the penamaan, I only have ASM fund. After penamaan, I managed to buy AS1M. Do I need you alter the penamaan to add this new fund into the will? If yes, what the extra cost involved?
*
I believe there is some fees charged to add additional fund to existing Trust Declaration. I think I did read something along this line in the form during signup. Cant remember the charges though.

It seems like there are many different error messages. I was able to log in but then after that I get the error message "We are sorry — something has gone wrong on our end."

Meanwhile my friend couldn't reset her password at all despite numerous tries.

Asking on behalf of my neighbour .She tried to bank in $ to her ASB2 acct today but was told all units all taken up. The teller said since last week customers are unable to top up to ASB2. Is there a max to ASB2?

Its same like ASB.. 200k limit per account..

And yeah.. ASB 2 fund is fully taken up... Cannot top up anymore unless anyone withdrawing big amount (maybe 100k) 😎
*
Oh wow. Just informed my neighbour abt the units all taken up. I told her to wait till dividend time in April to try again. Hopefully by then got ppl withdraw and got units available.

i've obtained explanation from PNB - it's not full. it is GOING to be full once they announce the dividend by end of march

they stopped taking any more deposits as per reason stated by one of the forumer here - they need the "headroom" to make way for dividend

so, if you are aiming for ASB2, do it in the first few week of april where many ppl will withdraw their dividends, as per ASB too

ASB2 is following ASB trend because they allow ASB2 financing now

i tried buying in rm100 for a few days already, kenot. impossible nobadi take out ASB2 mani. not even rm 100?

so it's not because the fund is fully subscribed. it's just semi-suspended

Oh, thanks for the update. Good to know then.

1st April is Sunday  sweat.gif
I believe April month would be the best time for ASM
*
Would this be the best time to attempt opening ASx accounts regardless of which bank? My uncle tried to open at one of the banks recently and was told only units available for Indians.

Your uncle tried for AS1M??

As for the question.. Normally April is best month for ASM.. After dividend.. Open new account or top up.. At least the first week is your best shot...
*
I think he tried all three biggrin.gif

What are they thinking?

If BN lose, all the money gone?

Don't really understand

Some ppl just like to create fear out of nothing. I have a retiree friend always saying money in EPF will be sapu by government if still keep in there, better to withdraw quickly, bla bla bla. She retired 2 years ago so she withdrew all and parked her money under HSBC savings account..premier level or something along that line. Dunno what the interest is like but I doubt is 6.4%. She doesn't invest in anything else...no unit trust, stocks, etc.

Yes. Get their username and password,  then their phone + banking log in details. Not sure if you can use your own banking to topup for others

Yes can.
*
I was looking for the option of using my own myASNB account to add someone else's account for top up purposes, just like in M2U. I guess function is not available yet.

Managed to top up for my ASW just now but small bullets only.

She is not tech savvy so dunno how to use internet to have a myASNB account smile.gif I don't think she will be comfortable with me being able to track her account balance also all the time biggrin.gif .

QUOTE(saitong09 @ Apr 17 2018, 06:53 PM)
M2U can link others ppl account? MyASNB only link your kids account which is register under the guardian name and IC only.
*
I think if not mistaken can add another person's ASx account under my M2U ASNB investment page. Have registered the account but never done any transaction yet.

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Apr 17 2018, 08:20 PM)

Actually wanted to top up for my mother smile.gif I'll go the old fashion way and bank in the $ to her savings acct instead.

Able to top up some for ASW this morning on first try. Now that we no longer have GST, we have an option to top up via myASNB or M2U or CIMBClicks smile.gif
