If dividend for ASx falls to 5.5-6%, I doubt there will be mass withdrawal. Yes, those that are savvy will look for other options like bond or UT. But there will still be plentiful people who will keep their savings in ASx if they have zero knowledge on other forms of investment or lesser risk appetite. After all, despite being under 6%, it's still better than FD.

If I am able to spare 1k per month for savings, should I use that $ as extra payment on my mortgage mthly repayment or should I invest in ASx? Assuming that every month can top up easily for ASx at each tries.

So ASW online top up is not available at M2U yet...any news of when the function is available?

Im a little outdated in ASNB news, didnt know abt the portal.

Top up mode is ON. Very motivated...bullets availability is a different story though.

I guess it's back to OTC then . So far, I've had luck top up at OTC but it's just troublesome having to travel to the bank.

Just out of curiosity, those of you who deposited tens of thousands..are those extra funds that you have no immediate usage, transfer from FD, etc.? Cos obviously after going thru so much effort to be able to deposit that kind of amount, you would want to leave the $ in there and not disturb them for a few years isn't?

I tried to register at myASNB portal. At the page where I need to key in my telephone number, it doesn't seem to allow me to enter any numbers. Does that mean PNB is not accepting any new registrations at the moment?

Someone might have already answered this but was all those top ups confirmed acceptable..as in updated in the passbook?

Actually I did update my details when I changed my ASW passbook (which was still the old number then). When the agent staff (a trainee) changed the passbook, he didn't do the whole process correctly and didn't park it under one single account number. I already have a AS1M account then. So, I went through a lot of issues with ASNB to get this sorted out. After so many months, they managed to consolidate my 2 accounts under a single account number. I don't know why my contact details is considered not updated. So, now have to go back to get this sorted again.

Can I just call up ASNB to check my contact details instead of going to the agent banks or ASNB office to check. I remember last time I did provide my updated info when I changed my ASW passbook to the new book but for some reason I am not able to register at myasnb portal.

What does this error in myASNB means "We are unable to process your transaction due to "Seller Exchange Encryption Error"? Tried twice this morning and keeps getting same error message.

I thought the limit for ASB is 200K. Is it 200k excluding of the dividends accumulated over the years? My colleague thought she couldn't top up already cos she has just reached 200k but just now she tried with myASNB with minimal RM100 and got through.

I tried ASW today and managed to top up twice 4 digit and one try was unsuccessful.
