Hi Guys, I got a Tmall tv box (android) and would like to install Hypptv on it. Is it possible?

Yeap. Tried that also. It is okay to a point. I remove kodi and install terrarium and moviebox instead. Kodi simply consume too much space/memory.

Do we need to install all those APK in the zip files. scared later install apk meant for Huawei, we will brick the non huawei box

If you wanna use other android box to watch hypptv, you need to call TM to register your device mac address into TM system. Told by TM technician. You cant simply install the hypptv app and watch it.

do tm help us to install the hyptv. apk as well? then it resolve all the problem

hypptv apk on Remix Mini android box 100% working fine
minix-x8H plus (50/50). At first cannot, later I factory reset 100% can, after some time, it wont work anymore.

Told by the TM technician when he come to change my faulty old Hypptv box with new android tv box. i aksed him can i use 3rd party android box to to replace the TM hyyptv android box, he reply said can but need to update TM system with the android box mac address inorder to received hyyptv content. i didn't ask any further question, but after he done all the setup he did call to TM HQ to change the my old hyyptv box mac address in the system to new hypptv box mac address.

later i ll get the tm fella to register the mac id. cause if we buy new or second hand tm box, they still need to re register the mac id.

another way is to spoof the mac id of new box with your old tm boz.

if it is hypptvanywhere, it can be played from any mobile devices but you will use up your quota.

Early March 2017: TM has pushed out updates to the box and as a result Google Play GApps has been removed. I am not pursuing for a solution on this. Better off buying a cheap Android box that is not locked down.

If let say I subscribe Unifi lite (package does not include hypptv set up box, but got Hypptv Everywhere), I purchase by myself for android box. Is it possible request TM technical register the mac address to my android box?

Any charges for that?

apparently got issue with hypptv apps on android box... some channel can some kenot..
even on KODI, live free channel got issue.. as for me lah.. nokt sure 10mb not fast enough or what.. atleast for me. live channel got problems.. movies n series not problem..

I just got an answer for this - no.
If you are on Unifi Lite and somehow you got a hypptv box (friend give it to you or you buy from somwehere), the customer service will not entertain you (to register MAC address or any other requirement). They say because of the plan. If want to enjoy Hypptv (not hypptv everywhere), have to upgrade.

Hmm, seems like that's the only way to go huhhh. Ok lah..I think need not to bother about it anymore now. Best way just get myself Minix (since all other boxes come pre-rooted, demm) and enjoy the hypptv everywhere in there...not to forget Astro go hahaha....what an expensive spending just to use those 2 apks! xD

Currently I'm toying with my mini m8s pro.... nothing can be done so far...any root apps out there won't help at all. They're just good...demm good at detecting rooted device imo...sigh!!

Both astro go and hypptv are the modded version side-loaded to the box...the ones that shared by fellow forummers in Android TV Box thread.
Initially when my box still with Marshmallow, few channels on hypptv still viewable. Then my hands got itchy I flashed the box with Nougat 7.1.2...now all channels keep merry go round

where can i get the astro go apk to side loaded for my box? using mi box 3s enhance (the white mi box)

Maybe u can share some? Tried few from Google results....like using terminal...SuperSu...esxplorer....root hide...and I think those one key unroot app are the most useless ..at least for astro go, hypptv and njoi...u hide root from them yet they still see it..

Maybe it's the firmware itself...it's pre-rooted rite from the kernel level if I can say so.
I requested the unrooted version of the fw yesterday from GearBest...still waiting for the reply.

too bad un-root method can't work.
seem like the only way is to get rm500-600 minix android tv box or mibox android tv with chromecast.
tried casting whole screen to chromecast, hypptv will block output once detected the phone is casting.

Use RootCloak.
Requires Xposed framework app.
Install both then enable RootCloak, open the app and add the app you need to bypass root checking at startup.

I did it on my previous M-Box android box, hypptv everywhere, astro go and other "not for rooted device" app should run normally with these.

using nvidia shield before to install hypptv, download software to change mac address on the shield and success, only problem if TM update the firmware

for my understanding (correct me if i'm wrong), the apk installed inside hypptv only works on VLAN 600, which is originally setup by TM which only understand the packet coming thru that interface. Which hypptv everywhere works on with any internet connections.

For my case, i replace the TP-Link router (crap!) with FortiWifi 60E and i configure the interface same like what in TP link does (VLAN 500 for internet and VLAN 600 for HyppTV). And this moment, my FREE subscription has come to end which i don't want to continue it as i only need Internet for all my devices that include my Xiao MiBox2 (2GB memory, 16GB HDD). My box is currently using custom firmware which i convert it into international build so i can use google play and install on my own apks. Well, the draw back on this firmware, my USB lost it function whereby i wanted to use back the USB-LAN to test HyppTV.apk. So at last, i just installed HyppTV everywhere, but the problem is, i need to use MOUSE to hover instead of remote control.. argghh

I've both an Android TV Box and the HyppTV box now, and if I can transfer the HyppTV.apk into the Android box then I do not need to be running two boxes. My HyppTV subs is part of the Unifi plan.

Installed playtv@unifi into my minix u9 and it works well but can't compare to hypptv. Playtv@unifi resolution sucks big time. Trying to install hypptv into minix u9 but not successful yet.

Any hypptv stb will work. Don't need to change mac address. I tried it and it works. But android box doesn't work. Android box so far can only install playtv@unifi... useless.

Has anyone try using Stbemu app configure hypptv (not hypptv everywhere) The app allows you to change the MAC address but I'm not sure if it's designed for such purpose.

newer models of minix and himedia can do unifi playtv and astrogo correctly.

other devices incl smart androidtv, nvidia shield, mibox... seems tricky, better check in their respective threads, ask users.

quite agree... poor quality... only the ones originally in HD are acceptable... the rest too poor to watch.

unifi is not investing in the app, bundled with unifi packages, dun really care...

others than unifitv apps, try using bbc player apps for bbc program like bbc lifestyle, bbc earth etc.

I'd like to know about this too, hypptv everywhere doesnt work for me, i mean on the web it just doesnt work. I have a 2015 amazon tv box from when i was in the UK, and specs are even better than TM's' recently upgraded huawei TV box as it comes with 2 low power cores, 2 high power cores and 2GB of ram vs hypptv box which is dual core (quad core for the new huawei) but all low power cores, 1GB of ram
