QUOTE(tangJW1 @ Aug 8 2017, 07:10 PM) How do you all managed to get 16km/l indicating for the fuel consumption? Mine always 11 point something... never reach 12! Something wrong with my jazz? it depends on how you drive. However I notice that the car become more fuel efficient after 10,000km. On highway where not much traffic, it can achieve until 18 to 19km/l. However in city traffic, it can go as low as 11 to 12km/l. I usually try to keep drive in green indicator and rpm below 2k, usually when that happen, the fuel consumption will be not bad.

QUOTE(tangJW1 @ Aug 9 2017, 10:12 AM) 1) i never step hard on the pedal...i travel on the highway very frequent, so i always stick on the middle lane, accelerate until the bar on the right to become full, and stop stepping on the pedal and let it go, let the bar maintain full by itself but at the same time my speed drops until the behind car is near to me and i continue to step on it 2) only a good flow of traffic with not much braking can achieve the 16km/l fuel consumption? In traffic jam, your car are in 2 modes: pickup and stopping. Sure it is bad in FC. Pick a weekend, fill up your tank and cruise along the highway. You will see good FC.

QUOTE(tangJW1 @ Aug 9 2017, 10:26 AM) Oh... Really? After 10k? Supposedly should be the fuel efficiency is better when the car has low mileage right? Mine havent exceed 10k yet.... That is what I felt. Maybe other experience differ. Some says new engine need mileage to make all connection tighten, smooth and then it will perform.

Mine havent exceed 10k yet.... my e spec now travelled 11000km and my fuel consumption 16.8km/l plus minus 0.2km/l base on real calculation. Dash meter shown 17.2km/l my behaviour; light foot on pedal with usually show green @ low RPM (not even 2.5k rpm) make sure your tyre pressure is OK as well.

I easily get 550 to 600 km before the fuel light blinks from a full tank. I am not a slow driver, nor do I constantly rev at 5k. On occasions, when the roads are clear I will let the revs fly, just to stretch the pistons..

QUOTE(tangJW1 @ Aug 9 2017, 01:00 PM) Lol ok 16.8 so high... hope mine can turn to that. Btw, my jazz E spec too, 3 months old mileage just 2200km+, is it normal? Or my usage is a lot? 10000km for 6 months is just nice. i believe 2200km for 3 months is slightly low. however, u have to send to Honda SC every 6months although mileage not hit. QUOTE(jimmy G @ Aug 9 2017, 01:35 PM) wow, that's some really good fuel consumption. i'm at 55xxx km and my fuel consumption is 14.x km/l. i seldom drive on congested road. just stop and go at traffic lights.

QUOTE(tangJW1 @ Aug 9 2017, 02:53 PM) Ok, im glad to hear that. Im trying not to max out my mileage and drive as less as possible. The ideal mileage for 3 months is how many km?? How much is the pedal lock? ideal for 3 months should be in the range of 4000+-500km of course, the lower the better la. some ppl have less mileage but high driving duration because of traffic condition. imagine, 30km for 30 minutes for country side, intercity 30km can take up to an hour plus.

Look for hypermiling videos...If you want to get more millage , you can try pulse and glide technique - its meant for hybrid cars but works well for non-hybrid also traffic weaving techniques

QUOTE(tangJW1 @ Aug 9 2017, 05:52 PM) Ohh... lucky im below than the average! The lower the better, means the lesser the wear and tear and high RV. Donyou know the selling price of a pedal lock from honda? yeah, less mileage is good for everything if the car under well care and not abused. i do not install any extra security device for my car. i just use ori alarm and security system. i believe alot of acc. shops selling. As jazz/fit are widely seen outside Malaysia. they can import easily from Thai, Indo, China and etc. Those are big markets

Hi axsatr, had you had the opportunity to drive your Jazz hybrid on the highway? What is the engine rpm @110km/h?
I'm considering to change my car from C segment to Jazz / City hybrid, road + engine noise is a big part of the consideration.. Had no chance to test these cars yet.

QUOTE(tangJW1 @ Aug 10 2017, 12:36 PM) Thieves usually aim for wira or proton car right? I mean i never heard news about jazz being stolen lol. Do u think is neccessary? its up to you actually. i think the price of a brake lock is not expensive and it is actually more secure than steering lock. is your car park publicly often? other than brake lock, u might wan to think about rim/wheel lock nut. to prevent rims and tires stolen case.

QUOTE(tangJW1 @ Aug 10 2017, 02:53 PM) Ya i always park at outdoor, non secured car park but a lot of cars over there too so not very worried and is a CBD. Are u a honda salesman? i am not vehicle salesman. then i would recommend you to buy brake and steering locks for your car. prevention is a must before bad things happen and regret later. a lock is not much compare to others. Economy no good and hence criminal case increase. Stolen tires and rims sell like hotcakes.
