slightly ot question: DiGi's HighSpeed Mobile Access service at RM66 got minimum contract period? I can use my phone to surf. I already asked at digi store near my place, they say must subscribe for one year. i asked some other place, they dunno.

DiGi will never achieve 384kbps on DiGi EDGE because it is using EDGE and not UMTS, only with UMTS it can achieve that speed.
EDGE = 2.75G
UMTS = 3G

I'm using EDGE and I know that, the highest it can achieve is around 230kbps.

Will only be reverted back to GPRS shall your area has no EDGE coverage.

how i know when connected to net with my phone is EDGE or GPRS ?

If your phone has EDGE capability then it will connect to EDGE (assumed your area has EDGE coverage), if your phone has no EDGE capability, then it will connect to GPRS.

Another condition is if your phone supports both connections, just see either "E" or "G" sign appears on your phone.
