Just get the unlimited usage plan like the digi broadband and use it.
Then no need to worry so much about the rates.
I am using D campus and it only RM 30 per month to suft the internet!

then how the speed?
ok or not?

Just use it. The speeds are around 20 - 30 KB/s for download. It's ok for general surfing, sometimes downloading small files and good for doing research. The D Campus edge can be used anywhere in Malaysia as long there is a digi reception. Only the calling rates change when you are outside the campus zone.

Hmm.. i have no problem with that.

Maybe your default connection is set to dail up. Try to find connection setting and remove it.
Once your phone connected to your laptop it will be the default gateway for internet.
Unless you application like yahoo msg state otherwise in the setting.

tq mr-2... its resolved edi...

We just have to wait patiently for digi 3G in other areas in Malaysia.
But currently there is no news about in your area.
How about using Digi Edge first while waiting.

honestly i'm quite impressed with celcom's 3G coverage.
even in my kampung there's 3G coverage rclxms.gif rclxms.gif
even more so they added EDGE as well on top of 3G as a back up perhaps in case of 3G network down or something.
but so far no HSDPA support in my kampung.

Nope for Penang, Still haven't get 3G signal yet.
HOPEFULLY DiGi's 3G will features HSDPA and cheaper price than Celcom Broadband and Maxis Broadband. Most of all,HOPE that DiGi's 3G/HSDPA will provides better dl speed, low latency <100ms and has best stability among others.
15GB++ limits or UNLIMITED usage!!!! hahaha rclxms.gif

DiGi appoints 3G vendor
Huawei to roll out network for commercial launch by early 2009

SHAH ALAM, 7 August 2008: DiGi.Com Berhad ("DiGi") announced the appointment of Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd as its vendor to integrate, deploy and manage its 3G network leading up to commercial launch in early 2009.

Under the agreement, Huawei will supply UMTS Radio Access and Packet-Switched Core Network services and equipment, and be responsible for the design, supply, installation, integration, optimisation and maintenance of the first phase of DiGi's 3G mobile broadband network.

Speaking at the closed-door signing ceremony, Johan Dennelind, CEO of DiGi said, "We are looking for partners in mobile broadband and advanced data services that possess technological competency, capability in the provision of end-to-end solutions for mobile broadband network, local presence, and proven track record in implementing 3G projects around the world. For the first phase, we found synergy in our vision and strategy with Huawei, and now look forward to a successful deployment."

On the appointment, Huawei's president of South Pacific Region, Jeff Liu said, "This is an important milestone for us and we are proud to have the opportunity to partner the fastest growing mobile service provider in Malaysia. We believe that our strength in WCDMA and experience in rolling out 3G networks will pave the way for a fruitful partnership."

For DiGi, 3G offers opportunities for it to enhance network capacity and efficiency, as well as provide a platform for on-going innovation and development of enhanced mobile and broadband services using the latest technology in High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) available today.

"Our network deployment is now underway at locations where DiGi can best provide for Malaysians who demand enhanced mobile communication and faster wireless services. As such, we are now on track to bring internet to Malaysians both on big and small screens by early 2009, making high-speed Internet access simple and easily available," added Johan.

Coz digi only reach Edge technology (2.5G) nowadays and seems you only get GPRS coverage (GPRS's speed is similar to Dial UP=2G) within your area smile.gif so that's why
