Think I figured out why the keyboard feels more responsive in the pp - only the top 2 rows can be used for scrolling/swiping in the keyone.
But strangely enough, when in landscape mode, all 3 rows work fine for scrolling /boggle
Had to get third party caldav/carddav apps for syncing with icloud - don't know why the stock blackberry ones don't work.
I'm not a very app-heavy person. Mostly use browser, emails, texting and fb. No noticeable lag or heat issues.
Like for like usage, the pp would've run hotter, so plus point for the keyone.
What I do like with the keyone is how usable landscape mode is - being able to scroll without having a finger on the screen is a big convenience for me while viewing pdfs/forums.
I also find the accompanying VKB to be less error-prone than the iOS ones.
Shooting photos is also more comfortable:
- the shutter release button in both portrait and landscape is in a more natural position for the thumb (not smack at the bottom of the screen)
- it is possible to shoot landscape one-handed steadily - the volume rocker buttons are close to the middle of the phone, so you can grip 4 fingers around the PKB and second finger on the volume down button. You also don't block the lens or screen this way.
What I don't like is not being able to preview photos if taking them from a locked state. That's probably an android issue though.
