technically if it is unlocked band and support band 38 or 40, should be no problem to support Webe..

Still thinking go or no go for webe.. coverage wise in my place is good.. just that the letdown of no tethering policy

was wondering if failure to receive tac has to do with switching from 4g to 3g since it is thru sms..
if one use 3g all the time maybe the problem won't occur..
just my taught only..

imported mi max whether china rom or global rom does not support webe 4G LTE band 5.. only Malaysia sets have it..
in order to get band 5 you have to unlock it first:

but fret not as webe will launch band 38 for LTE and in theory should be much more faster than band 5

Guys, I don't know if this is asked before.. just that I don't find in this thread thru search button.. my question is:

if insert sim in router and connect to PC then browse internet thru PC is it legit? considered as tethering?

my mi max can detect webe band 38 at my place.. some of forumers here did also.. just a matter of time I think till webe users can use that band..

sorry don't have the tool to measure the bandwidth but theoretically with higher frequency it should much more faster than lower frequency on band 5..

for calculation we can say it is like this:

band 5
(5/20) x 150Mbps = 37.5Mbps

while band 38
(10/20) x 150Mbps = 75Mbps

this is not 100% accurate.. just rough calculation only.. don't take it as reference..

tried the ahem once but on PC it is still did not unlock premium.. if there is a way kindly PM
