I just give courtesy call after 2 months just to ensure they acknowledge to refund my balance in webe mobile account. Actually, we do receive official email from webe stating the refund is in process below:


As for U-Mobile refund, they don't have official email telling us the refund is in process. So, again, just give them a call every month to follow up the status.

As of now, anyone prefer to port out from webe to other telcos, just be patience for full refund (if u hv negative balance in webe account).

There is tether/Wi-Fi hotspot... Pay RM6.36 to get 2 hours tethering/hotspoting up to 5 devices...

Oh webe, listen to me.... "just release that free 5GB hotspot plan ... More ppl will crave to MNP..."

As.of last week, all Google services (YouTube, PlayStore, Drive, etc.) is no more throttled @ 2Mbps....

Let's wait for other user's feedback...

Inside mothership @ Sunway Pyramid...

3G will be "temporarily " capped to 2Mbps from one cell tower to another as all telcos are conducting "network seeding". ETA of completion is end of June.

I think he wants me to test for HSDPA connection inside mothership. It'll be 2Mbps "temporarily" till end of June.


You guys can port out to other telcos if cannot bear with the temporary "downgrade" of network speed.

Those thinking to port in, better don't.

Port in back after July (if according to schedule...). But since Ramadhan and AidilFitri is around the corner, my hypothesis is after August.

During the "Network seeding" exercise, expect to have mediocre CALL QUALITY from one cell tower to another. You might be experiencing poor call quality like audio interference from time to time.

Again, if you cannot bear with this poor CALL QUALITY, please port out ASAP.

If you asked/chatted with webe officials, definitely they'll deny in order to ensure subscribers stick to webe.

If you reported network issue, standard answer is "We shall report to the technical team to check & take appropriate actions".

"Network seeding" is executed in stages and locations... not many man-power to handle all cell towers at once... Highest priority is in Klang Valley metropolitan cell towers....

See the pattern...? Promo has to continue in order to replace the seats who ported out...

Kudos to DiGi for being the first telco to challenge webe mobile. DiGi is T-Mobile Malaysia version 2. They even offer free 5GB tethering (first 10K subscribers; tethering is free for 12-months only...) following T-Mobile tactics...
