Lol, I think this already got into 'Real WOrld Issue' thread but if the opposition is ever going to change the university entrance is yet to be seen. But making U's more open to all races without any quota can actually increase international ranking and also more honest in accepting good student without any discrimination.

BUt even changing to Pakatan still mean keeping the Bumi vote which is the majority. While there is some Bumi who said about more fairness, most don't. Most of my old schoolmate is zealous on the speciality of Bumi.
If you give a baby a lollipop, don't the baby cry if you take it back? The situation might be different if it an adult. mentality bro..

Well, if it recently open better to leave it alone until the batch is properly accredited by medical board.
Now, better ignore it and go for the leading one I guess...

Well if you ever get into the 'Real World Issue' every do the same complaining 24/7, but the reality is in Malaysia nothing could change even if we did demonstration. That's the reason now I quit from that thread because even complaining won't do anything to change it.
My only advice is get money in Malaysia and if the quality here is bad then just do like every Johorian do, go to Singapore.

Well, Malaysia for one recognized a lot of sub-standard country especially granting Russia many lousy medical facilities an approval. Singapore for one have a stricter procedure in which only best is given out.
But I think if Malaysian implement a stringent procedure, malaysia would be having enough doctor to cater the millions of sick Malaysia. This is because the low income of doctor here, lack of doctor protection law and low-quality facilities that make Malaysia a least destination for doctor except from its own nationality which many move out to other country.

Woo, that a sign of desperation. Back in 70's, doctor got wage lower than teacher. RM1000 a month.
My dad even got to take unwanted chairs, table and refrigerator from hospital cause we can't afford rent and food.

Yep, dad always said that so we could be more appreciate the current economy and take advantage of it.
He work in Terengganu and then to Johor in that days. He even sold his Proton Saga because my brother and sister always wanted an ice cream which cost 50 cent and we can't even afford it.( seroiusly not lying)By selling it, we save on monthly installment by buying a second-hand car.
Now life much better...

QUOTE(MBBS siang @ Feb 17 2009, 12:22 PM) Thank you!I have received the offer letter for foundation in science from AIMST,because it is too competitive, so, maybe need to do the foundation first.I think this is a more secure way if I failed to enter the IPTA or MBBS of AIMST , even though that is no guaranteed for admission.Actually,I think not only twice but more then hundred of time, finally make the decision to choose the way toward AIMST(cheaper and with the not bad quality),as limeuu say only malaysian dare to try untested uni.I don't want to take the risk to become a " killer"....haha! I want to be a competent doctor, though need to do Pre-u again, but I believe I can make it and it is worth.I get scored by my dad:Stupid and silly! But never mind! One day he will know Im doing the right things now, if I able to save the life. Yeah don't waste time. But I yet to receive any letter from university/IPTS. Still remember in post-SPM where every student get 50+ brochure send by IPTS to tout to their college.....

OK that mean I have to take TOEFL or IELTS now. That's really troublesome since I wanted to go to IMU. So where do I take this test? I think I wasted my time doing MUET when I should be dong something else if this is the step taken by most IPTS.

Thank , I be sure to take that test. I already got high Band 5. SO I don't think getting another test would be too difficult. Is the test harder than Muet?

QUOTE(limeuu @ Feb 19 2009, 08:11 AM) being complete honest here, i wonder, based on the level of english used in this forum, and the mistakes so frequently committed in simple postings, how one can get a 'high band 5' in muet?............ Er, because I think if I ever write like in my essay, then I will waste my time trying hard just to keep up with the proper usage of word. I do got a sample essay I send to my MUET teacher when she started teaching us. Not that good but this when I first sarted doing essay after SPM. After doing the Space essay, she says that I'm anti-Sheikh. Lol, I thought this show a different essay that Form 6 should do.

Sorry. Link use attachment. Everyone wanna go to IPTA since its cheaper but only 4.0 could get to UM and UKM. Could dream getting to do in NUS unless 4.0+ co-curricular.
One of student in NUS Med is a national long jumper. While many have experience by doing internship in hospital. It's so hard that even I don't try to apply there.

No I'm waiting for STPM result..... I said that the essay is done in lower 6 which is my first essay after SPM which explain why the essay is that that good. The reason I got high Band 5 is that my 'Comprehension ' test is almost perfect. Comprehension have 60% of the mark I think.
Anyway, does this mean my chance of passing IELTS is none? Who have do I need to go to IMU?

Yeah, I don't think many have to be very proficiency in it. But of course, the better we speak, the better job prospective etc.
But right now, I'm more afraid of my STPM result than doing this stupid English test. They should notify us if MUET is losing creditability.
