1. Preferred brand : Dell>Asus>Hp
2. Budget : 4K and below
3. Usage : Normal, Photoshop, Video Editing, Gaming (Just Dota 2)
4. Screen Size : 14/15
5. video card : Nvidia (atleast 2GB)
6. dvd\cd tray: Not required

Personally I'm in love with Asus Ultrabook because of the design. But the lack of Graphic Card make me sad.

Also does the processor with U at the end meaning two cores only? I want a laptop that not lag when using photoshop.

Gonna go to Lowyat tomorrow.

I need a laptop for my weekend at hometown to do some simple stuff like watch movie, youtube, and do some programming.

My budget around RM2k - RM3k for a normal laptop. If for 2 in 1 can be higher.

I no gaming, but I like high performance on multitasking.
Preferred light and modern design.

I went to digital mall saw this two close to my budget, BUT....
1. Asus a510u (I5 8th generation / 4GB / 1TB / GT940MX 2GB) - I dont like the keyboard design, no numpad look like too empty.
VS
2. Lenovo Yoga 520 Gold (Intel I5 / 4GB / 1TB / GT940MX 2GB) - I like the 360-degree hinge, but it is 7th generation I5, for performance I think the first option is better than this right?

Besides that, I wonder if this two compare, which one is better? Is this 2 performance enough for me to do my stuff?
3. NEW Microsoft Surface Pro - i5 / 128GB / 4GB RAM
VS
4. Lenovo Ideapad Miix 510 i5 / 8GB / 256GB?
I'm very interested on NEW Microsoft Surface Pro, but ONLY 128GB and I wonder the stability and performance.

Hi everyone,

I'm looking a brand new laptop for studying.

My budget probably around the 7k and below. I'm only using it for studying so things like microsoft office, pdf, some videos only. no gaming or video editing. What I'm after is something small like 14 inch and below, and also extra long battery life. I'm fine with any brand.

any idea which laptops should i consider?

cheers

Hey guys can help me find a good laptop for on-the-go designing / video editing? I currently have an MSI GE60(I think, if not 70, can't remember exactly) but it's 17" big, lol I use it as a desktop pretty much now, can't bring myself to lug it around everywhere.

1. Preferred brand : Any brand
2. Budget : RM3.5 max, but willing to stretch a little bit if needed
3. Usage : Graphic design, illustration, video editing (Loads of Adobe)
4. Screen Size : 14" or smaller

PLEASE AND THANK YOU! biggrin.gif
