CREDIT CARD EXPERT, PLEASE GUIDE ME.

Hello guys.

It's my first time to apply a credit card. My monthly commitment is only paying PTPTN for m50/month. No car loan, no personal loan, no house loan, no other credit cards.

1. Annual Income: 55k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Yes. Need free lifetime annual fee

3. Card required for: Petrol, Cash Back/Rebate Only, Overseas Transactions (Twice a year perhaps), For emergency purpose, Online shopping transactions.

4. Existing credit cards (if any): No credit card

5. Interested in CC from: I have no idea about this.

6. Others: Please be specific. Actually i want to get a credit card only for emergency purpose. Example i go out and dont have enough cash to purchase something, so i have an alternative.

Hi,

is that uob one card and yolo have annual fees?
and is that any credit card can apply by salary rm1500 per month?
or need to pledge fd?
*
Yes, both have annual fees.
Nope, according to BNM rule, minimum salary requirement to get credit card is RM 24k per annum.
You can pledge FD but depending if the banks you are applying have that facilities. Maybank and Public Bank are examples which accept.

do you know how much for the annual fees? or swipe example 12 times to wavier?
and how much need to pledge FD for maybank or public bank?
*
Check here: http://www1.uob.com.my/personal/useful/fee..._annualfee.html
UOB One has no way to waive it unless bank waives it on their preference. YOLO is waived upon (1) swipe per month at any amount (total twelve (12) swipes per year).

For MBB's Maybank2Cards Gold will be RM 5k. I'm not sure about PBB because I never pledge before, you can enquire in PBB thread.

hi!

i applied for cimb cash rebate cc last month.. no news until i called them to know my application is rejected.. i only own 1 cc at the moment which is cimb petronas.. why la got rejected.. do i need to cancel my current cc for my new application to get approved?
*
Rightfully, it shouldn't be rejected for your case since you already have CIMB Petronas which shares the same limit.
Regardless, CIMB CR will have new revision effective 1st Nov and it is no longer attractive. Many are considering to cancel this card, so it's OK if you don't get it.

Don’t use so many credit card. One is enough otherwise you fall into credit trap.
*
No such thing as many credit cards will fall into credit trap. If one has no discipline, even one card is also a trap.
A lot of us here are seasoned users, easily more than 10, some 20 and I'm having 23, we utilize cards for convenience and benefits from banks (cash back, points for e.g.).

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Preferably
3. Card required for: Online purchases, Travel, Overseas Transactions, Airport Lounge
4. Existing credit cards (if any): None

For airport lounge, unfortunately minimum requirement is RM 36k p.a.

All Malaysia cards are widely accepted if they accept Visa, MasterCard or AmEx for instance.

If I'm not mistaken, conventional and Islamic cards are considered as two entities and issuers, hence you have already filled up the two issuers' quota for annual income 36k and below.

Petronas Visa is Ikhwan Petronas Visa right?

RM 20k not eligible for credit card applications. Minimum is RM 24k.

You can try Ikhwan Visa Petronas or/and Ikhwan MasterCard for petrol.

Telecommunication, I supposed you meant bills. You can use M2Cards AmEx using M2U to pay.

Just need some clarification.
PB Quantum come in a package of 2 cards (like Maybank 2 cards) or do i need to apply twice?

So say in conjunction with Ringgitplus campaign, i will get RM200 x2 touch and go??

Sounds like a super good deal.
*
It comes with 2 cards at one go, no only one TnG for RP.
After PBB staff sent you the email for application you will see it.

Yup yup, thanks!
Anything with direct use that I can replace the CIMB Cash Rebate. My current spend pattern exceeds both the PB Visa Signature and PB Quantum MC combined, so I need something else.
*
As per my suggestion, SCB JustOne Plat? RM 85 cash back for 2.5k spending?
