astro calls me ,with an offer! For my 10 years with them they want to give me Cinemax and HBO for RM25pm only! I told them off!! The movie pack is only RM30 and that they are giving me only 2 of the channels for RM25!! This is a dirty business tactic and told them to STOP calling me for any offers ! Just watch out call from 0374945000

We cannot blame astro for these PPV channels,blame the customers who support them by blindly buying whatever they sell!

It should be noted ,NONE of their In House/PPV channels failed.The reason being there are so many customers out there,maybe too rich or they are easily convinced! Another factor is their huge subscriber base all it takes is just less then 20% to buy and costs covered!

I am on Namma Pack,planning to go down to Family HD RM60+ Cannot control the nausea, too much of Recycled content and horrible PQ of tamil SD channels

Worst part it is NOT availiable in Family HD you have to buy Maharaja Pack at RM13+ to get this home cooked channel!

Monopoly is one thing,but customers too play a part in making astro what they are today! Customers should play smart.They should not pay for anything more then the packages they subscribe to. PPV succeeded all bcos of customers who will buy whatever sold! Now astro is more interested in adding PPV channels then premium demand channels! PPV movies customers shld know that they are not getting a premium version of the movie! Customers have all the power and as they get smarter we can end whatever monopoly! How indonesia kicked them out remember?

NJOI was targeted for advertisement revenue, for the large customer base its big money! Thats why even if u terminate astro they wl offer u to be a NJOI customer cos every customer is Money for astro This situation will kill Mytv on the spot! Advertisers will choose astro cos it covers wide areas! Please dont expect any new channel to be added, astro is too expensive already,nobody is willing to pay some more. The main idea to launch satelites is NOT for giving us the best but to make very big money by leasing the transponders,I think India is their biggest customer esp. Sun DTH

There is NOTHING great except for repeats not willing to to waste my expensive data,I rather use my data more wisely on more good premium content. Astro has bored msians enough!!

Zeetv channels are great,asstro has nothing great to offer already except looking for ways to con customers to stay on!Astro wanted to control zeetv with a compiled channel Zee Variasi but the deal turned sour

Not exactly bro,I am on 8mbps Screamyx, to be frank it sucks most of the time,the more the traffic the worst will be the buffering,and PQ wl be......... OMG!

83000 smart customers!!! Good sign! I think another big chunk have only basic packs! So in all FORGET about new additions except for repacked content!We may soon get to see an ailing paytv and iptv provider,just bcos they are overpriced,. They next target to get advertising market and for that Njoi and AOTG !! Paytv will just pull thru with sports

Dont forget AOTG is FREE on a complimentary basis,for now the fee is waived until May 2017, you can see that in yr bill

All Indian channels on astro are run here by a group of businessmen at astro under the Indian Program Unit ,the selected content mostly silly serials and Talent shows from the channels are repacked and rescheduled locally and airtime slots are sold to local advertisers.so its two birds with one stone

Last I remember, spore law does not allow local insertion of adverts or selling of airtime in channels from content providers,but in corrupted msia all is possible even licence expired also can carry on!

No pal not working but was a regular complainant ,taking them to task over several issues! I knew finally how they worked,Indians swindle Indians to be exact! They have deals with their India counterparts Thats how Vinmeed HD was produced to protect it no other Tamil HD channels were allowed,thats hw they protect their business after 20 years I am now on just Family HD pack,astro is not worth the money at all !First PQ is hopeless ,setup box outdated with no good audio/video features then the recycled content,well just my opinion!

Complaining about adverts is a waste of time,even SKMM wl say astro is following guidelines ! India too has heavy adverts but the best part they pass the benefit to customers abt 600 channels for RM50! Even if I pay triple of that rate to astro I will still get rubbish! But greedy astro is too much their rates are very expensive, for lousy content and we hv to bear with their silly adverts! Their AOTG adverts on android apllications is much more worse! I Started with SP,then down to VP now on just Family HD,and next will be The Last Goodbye They will one day just remain as number one advertisement provider is asia. They have no plans to upgrade service. give new channels with original content,move to MPEG4 ,improve PQ,and upgrade their box to hv more audio features,basically very poor but very expensive service
