Well even their HD sucks,its not up to expectations! SD is close to VCD! still stuck with MPEG2! Their box is outdated,it has no features! Now many STB boxes have many extra features like sound settings built in,auto audio output settings,bluetooth and many more.Unfortunately astro STB has nothing up to date!

Hi i got old HD astro decoder(before pvr one).

Does having an old decoder effect on the screen ratio on non-hd channels (such as TV3 and Ria) to become 4:3 only with black bars/pillars. I always come to my neighbour's house(with a much newer decoder) and they always show 16:9 ratio on all channel without any cutoffs/stretching from the original channel.

That's why some Indians subscribes Videocon d2h, the one and only India DTH pay TV that the satellite signal is receivable in Malaysia. There are up to 500 channels (including English language channels) of the monthly fee around RM30.

Of course, it is illegal to subscribe other country's DTH service and then enjoy it at your own country.

Monopoly is one thing,but customers too play a part in making astro what they are today! Customers should play smart.They should not pay for anything more then the packages they subscribe to. PPV succeeded all bcos of customers who will buy whatever sold! Now astro is more interested in adding PPV channels then premium demand channels! PPV movies customers shld know that they are not getting a premium version of the movie! Customers have all the power and as they get smarter we can end whatever monopoly! How indonesia kicked them out remember?

Is there anyway that I just register for the Astro and pay for it without the device ? because the previous house owner had left the astro decoder and disk.

I try to check with astro and they say new registration must bundle with the decoder and satellite disc.

Pls help.

RTM TVi has renamed to RTM TV5 starting 1 April 2017, this Government of Malaysia channels will available on Astro Channel 109 & MYTV Broadcasting Channel 110.

Just for info, HyppTV will add 6 new channel tomorrow, Zee Tamil 303, Zee TV 304, Zee Cinema 309, Sony SAB 311, Sony SET 312 and TVN Movies 222. But remove 2 channels UTV Bindass 305 and Bindass Play 301. Rebrand MNC Channel 115 to Pesona HD...

...while Astro....none.
