i though bass sound more rough?

I think bass is like a baseball bat, while treble is sharp knife. laugh.gif laugh.gif That's how I visually imagine these two sounds

How's the price there? Since it newly comes out, sure there'll be no official price yet. Can you predict how much it would be?

interesting earbuds, the HR1 has 150ohm impedence. sweat.gif

got this feedback from Jaben forum(http://jaben.net/forums/index.php?topic=6125.15)

QUOTE
Okay - out of the box impressions.

To get on with the inevitable Yuin comparison:
IMO, these offer a different kind of sound compared to the PK series. From what I remember of my PK1s before I sold them, the PK1s have a darker, more bassy sound - which caused me no end of headache from the time I used them to edit a video with techno-ish background music.

The HR-1s seem brighter, with perhaps a more forward midrange as well. Bass is not as prominent as the Yuins, with both using the foam donut pads. Of course, the Yuins did have a fair advantage in terms of run-in. The HR treble seems to be more scratchy (but I think that's because of the amplifier) and it's a good thing - more faithful treble reproduction!

I've actually been after Uncle Wilson for these for quite a while, ever since I tried the prototype when I first got my Yuins (way back in April). Right now, there are times when I don't want to use full-size headphones or IEMs, like with my laptop at home to watch online lectures. The 'buds don't squeeze up in my ear, plus I can munch on stuff without the noise travelling up my head.

No, it is actually the opposite. Unlike Yuin, there is an extra clear coating finish on top of the letter painting and you can't easily sketch them off.

the packaging is.. like.. plain.
why?. i mean, dont they wanna make the packaging a little attractive?.

if they put them on the shelves, i dont think people will pick that over something else.
are they really that good?.

The packaging is similar to that of Yuin. Yuin has more of a China element to it, but CrossRoads isn't really a Chinese brand after all. High end earbuds these day are sharing this kind of packaging (wooded box) commonly. When Yuin was released internationally 3 years ago, most people have doubt of its SQ because of its look, but now no one could deny it is indeed much better than big brand name. If you are paying for >RM500 of earbud, I am sure you want to audition it before passing your judgment based sorely on the look. Takes electrostatic headphone for an example, none of them are good looking by common standard, but people don't pay top dollars for their look anyway.

Don't take my words for it - if you have a chance, audition the HR1/2 or Yuin PK1/2 amped. You'll be surprise how well earbuds can sound like.

I saw there's a Mylar X3 or XB, the package comes with all sorts of stuffs like plane jack, extra earbuds that have 2 fledges, things like that. Oh it comes with a pretty big pouch too, with the CrossRoads logo on it.

Dunno is X3 or XB, is it available on sale in the forum? How much is it anyway?

The X3/XB is gone, replaced by Bijou series. You'll have to ask walabies for the price.

X3 ... X3i is an improve version of X3.

Bijou is the new line.
