Don't buy into advertising or even friends advice... if you like it, then it's good for you. People just need to learn what they like and what they don't.
I personally have used a pair of xBi's and I find that they are really bang for your buck, but I'm selling mine off as I already have a pair of Shure's which isolations tops all of the above.
I would recommend crossroads to everyone one that I know who is looking for a good pair of buds, but I would always tell them to give it a listen first before purchasing.
