QUOTE(FunnyNinja @ Dec 18 2017, 02:49 PM) Hi sifus, i just back read the posts and get confused...hahahaha based on their replies, Which bank offered the highest/best fixed deposit rate so far? Just maybank? Maybank - 15 months 4.3% AMbank - 12 months 4.3% (seems like only offer for few days) This post has been edited by syaaron: Dec 18 2017, 03:24 PM |

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Mar 1 2018, 03:30 PM) I'm existing Premier customer. Just last week I placed the FD @ 4.38%, today place again, still 4.38%. My RM has no clue whatsoever on the 4.5% when asked. Thanks bbgoat for the heads up, successful opened MI FD account for monthly interest crediting. Also opened a BSA account with out fee and without debit card for monthly FD interest crediting. By the way, if you guys looking for parking temporary fund 100k and above with 3.5% interest, go for Alliance Saveplus account. Can open the account online, can withdraw any time, no annual fee, no transaction fee, free debit card and last but not least, Free RM40 Petronas gift card. |

QUOTE(babysiew @ Mar 2 2018, 12:01 PM) i insisted i didnt want debit card at HLBB. they said must have if not cannot do online. i said i dont need online. then i said joint account. they said oh if joint account, no debit card. and she gave me temporary pin to do the registration online. i like ocbc because they dont require us to have a savings account to open FD acct. Thanks just knew this.Besides than OCBC, is there any other bank don't require a savings account to place FD? |

QUOTE(bbgoat @ Mar 6 2018, 08:03 PM) For AmBank, my relative has got 4.40% 12 mth FD placed. This one need to get approval from HQ. So can try to talk to the branch or your RM for higher than 4.38% 12 mth rate. wow 4.4%. must be placing a lot there?Heard from Penang OCBC RM that their 4.38% FD promo end tomorrow. So those in Penang one can try or call OCBC before u go there. |

QUOTE(gsc @ Mar 13 2018, 12:37 AM) Am rate is changing weekly. Received from RM on the 4'4%. FD rate *12/3 til 31/3/18* fresh & existing (min RM10K only) respectively 3mths - 4.10% 6mths - 4.20% *Renewal FD/renewal with top up* 12mths - 4.40% (interest must credit into SA/CA) *Fresh fund* 12mths - 4.35% (interest must credit into SA/CA) Bbgoat was reporting 4.38% for fresh fund. If Am bank is targeting their customers who renew their FD, then 4.35% for fresh fund may be correct. May be other members can confirm? |

QUOTE(eddie2020 @ Mar 14 2018, 06:58 PM) Guy, anyone placed with hlb fd? I not sure, last month one I don't get interest.. How to know if the interest is lump sum to us by maturity or credit to our account monthly? QUOTE(cybpsych @ Mar 13 2018, 07:34 AM) dont undestand the RED highlight above. This post may helpswere you aware of the new T&C posted in HLconnect? // Effective 1 February 2018, all interest or profit earned under new eFixed Deposit/-i placements will be credited into customers’ nominated current or savings account/-i every 6 months and/or at maturity. // since you said you were waiting for month 1 profit, i guess your placement was in Feb, hence falls into the new T&C. |

Speaking of placing e-fds, what is the latest time eligible for interest?
I.E, if i place on 15May 11pm+ will it effective on 15May or 16May ? If not mistaken, previously saw some posts mention is it latest cut off 10pm ? Just to confirm thanks in advance |
